major itching on Oxy or Hydrocodone

anyone know why this happens? is it a skin secretion? because 12 hours (without a shower) after i had taken the pills i could still itch my skin and have it "feel good", even after the shower it feels good to scratch almost everywhere
i usually try to avoid itching while i am buzzed, although the want is totally there
anyways, does anyone know the story on this...i've heard Benadryl helps but isnt Benadryl just diphenhydramine (sleep aid) that will make me too tired to stay awake and enjoy the experience

opiates release histamines, histamines make you itch, benadryl is an antihistamine.
live with it.

I've never had a problem staying awake. Just the opposite, I can't sleep. 20 mg of oxycodone and I'm up well into the next day, and usually no where near as cracked out as if tweeked! Strange, huh? This is regardless if I take a couple of Benadryl or not. Anyone know why opiates might impede sleep in somepeople?

That too is a common side effect. You'll notice that you may fall asleep, for about 10 minutes, and then wake up....but when you wake up, you feel GREAT. You feel like you've been sleeping for days.
Opiates sorta put people in a half awake/half asleep state.
I really enjoy that though.

Oxycodone seems to have a tweaking effect on me too. I can't sleep, rather I get in this strange relaxed yet wired state and I ramble for hours.

I'm also a fan of the itching.
To me, I don't itch because I feel itchy, it just feels so god damn good to scratch.
I really don't get "itchy" persay...
