Anybody here play?

Got back into it when Innistrad released and have been having a blast.
Been playing a lot of Standard and Draft and doing pretty well at both.

Results so far this season:
Standard: 2 first places, a 3rd, and a 4th of 4 events
Draft: 3 first places, 2 2nd places, a 3rd, and a lot of learning hahaha.

i played this with my brother a lot back during 1994-1999

most of the cards I have are 3rd and 4th edition, with some ice age, legends, arabian nights, etc mixed in

i've noticed the game has evolved a lot since then

i've been playing the shit out of this mtg PC game i downloaded

Basically same story - played back in that same era and got back into it because of the duels of the planeswalkers game on steam. :)

We took all our old cards and sold off all the expensive ones and are using the rest to trade into standard cards. It's been great to get a lot of value out of stuff we haven't touched in years.

over thanksgiving me and my brother raided our parent's attic, dug out a ton of cards, made some decks and played

we had a draft for all the rare cards we were able to find - know my mom threw a some away

my most valuable cards are:
shivan dragon - 4th ed.
wheel of fortune - 3rd ed.
berin sengir - not sure what edition this is, from 1995 and the icon is shaped like a globe
nightmare - 4th edition
inferno - 4th edition
personal incarnation - 4th edition
serra angel - 3rd edition
x2 sengir vampire - 4th ed.
shimian night stalker - ? edition
lord of the pitt - 4th edition

i remember my very first starter pack for 3rd edition i got a volcanic island....extremely rare
and my bro got a vesuvian doppelganger

some of those dual lands are worth 50 bucks :D

i havent gone through white and blue yet im sure ive got some good whites

lol awesome

i love using prodigal sorcerer

nice effort on the drawing there, looks awfully like presidential sorcerer ;)

that's the second card jesus appeared on

can't forget he was pictured on 'swords of plosures'

I only ever played a couple of games of this with the actual cards, as I could never find anyone who actually played it.

Recently I got the PC Game "Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers" on Steam though and I've been enjoying that. If anyone here plays, let me know - it'd be especially good if I could play against some pros and step up my game :D

magic? holy crap. i stopped playing around the time Ice Age (around the time of Revised/3rd edition and fallen empires) came out. it was pretty fun back then though.

I only played a little bit of the actual card game, but i had difficulty understanding the game mechanics.. which was probably due to my age back then.

I've just started playing around with Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers on Steam, and im loving it so far.. some of the AI are really fucking hard, but it's been a while since i've felt this challenged with any game, surprisingly addicting.

Used to play a lot during the "good old days"(Urza's block was my shizz %))
When they remade the card design I threw in the towel.(My interest had been waning for some time before actually)
I remember being at GenCon the year they debuted that shit, I was fucking PISSED!!!!! :X They still look absolutely hideous to this day IMO.
Been meaning to pick up some of the novels actually. The game itself may have gone to shit but the storylines are great.

berin sengir - not sure what edition this is, from 1995 and the icon is shaped like a globe
Homelands*

I remember I had a set of 4 mint, signed Force of Will. I had a bunch of cards I got signed(gotta love GenCon =D), but these were by far the ones I remember the best. I gave all my cards(probably a half dozen binders of valuables and 3 or 4 boxes of uncommons/commons) to a good buddy of mine when I quit. Lol a few thousand dollars in that guy's pocket(no joke).

*It's amazing how I remember this stuff even though it's been like 7 years since I've played seriously. I didn't even have to look this up the name of the set came right to me lol.
