Greetings,

New to the forum and had a question to pop.

I took 50mg of hydroxyzine around 7 hours ago, i was planning on taking 1g of lyrica in the next few hours, which won't be my first time. Would this put me at risk of Respiratory Depression? or is this combo okay?

Well it's not entirely safe..

Hydroxyzine can exacerbate the CNS depressant type side effects caused by Pregabalin, So exercize caution when combining the two!

Yes it's been 7 hours since you've taken the the Hydroxyzine, but the half life is around 20 hours, and the duration of action varies quite a bit, ranging from 2-12 hours, peaking at around 2, so it still may affect the Lyrica.
I would wait until at least 12 hours betweeen taking the Hhydroxyzine and dosing the Pregabalin.

Hydroxyzine's effects last only about 4 hours (maybe 6 at the most) though. That's why it can be taken 4 times a day. And it's mechanism doesn't cause respiratory depression - and if it did, it's 50mg. I know this is harm reduction. But logic clearly dictates that there is no risk of respiratory depression here.
