Misc Lyrica question

so ive been prescribed lyrica for about 5 days now due to pain with shingles. The pain was never that bad so i've really just been taking them for fun, on an average of about 5 75mg caps per day. I know these drugs have a quick rising tolerance, but i didnt feel a thing of 525mg yesterday...

how long untill i can enjoy these without having to take a really high dose?

well, it's quite simple really. the higher dose you take for your condition the higher your tolerance is going to be, making the dose you want to "have fun" a much higher dose.

not everyone enjoys lyrica as a recreational drug either which may be a factor in whether you'll like the high or not.

if you're presctoed them for a legitimate question it's quite contradicting to your treatment wanting to get high on them in the first place. the higher you dose the less efficient they're going to become when you really need them; in the same vain how pain management patients abuse their prescriptions, they become inefficient and having them to take higher doses than orginally needed.

i think the point was missed...

the 5 daily ive been taking have been for recreational purposes and as i said, the pain was never bad enough to warrant a lyrica prescription, ive done them before and i like it, i just want to know how long i have to wait untill i can take the same dose and get high so i dont have to keep rising.

I find it a very long lasting tolerance, maybe impossible to get back to your original levels. I've had two month breaks and not totally lost tolerance.

However, saying that, I think there's a relatively quick loss of some of your tolerance in that I can do ~500mg doses a week apart and get nice effects from them. Although I often do a second 500mg 5 or 6 hours later.
