lycrica for anxiety

hi folks ive just aquired some pregabalin 75mg. now whenever i feel some bad nerves comin on ill either grab a diazepam or a codeine...just lose doses but i feel like my tollerance is building up. so would taking pregabalin help me to relax like a benzo? any advice is greatly appreciated.

I take lyrica and my doctor has told me it will help anxiety and it is indicated for anxiety but I find absolutely no relief from a normal prescribed dose, only when I take doses in the 600 mg range and up. and also, lyrica takes at least 2 hours to start kicking in for me, so it is not going to give any relief quickly.

also would this increase the effects of codeine at all?

yes, it works on gaba b receptors and it would potentiate codeines effects like a benzo would, so be careful.

Same for me, it takes almost 2 hours to fully kick in. Also, 600 mg is a prescribed daily dose.
