Heroin Lump on inside of elbow

I have a reddish lump on the inside of my elbow and don't know if it needs medical attention. I don't have health insurance right now and am kind of worried. I have been abusing this vein for a few weeks. I use clean needles and clean the area everytime. I'm not sure if its bruising and scar tissue from using it to much or an abssess. If the walgreens quick clinic good enough to go to? I can't afford hospital bills and can't have my parents find out. If they do I will be on the streets this is my last chance. I am going back to college in a few weeks and really don't want to fuck that up. It feels like a tons of scar tissue but is a little bit painful when I press down on it. I have been putting hot water on it every hour or so and applying antibacterial cream. Can scar tissue be a raised area on your skin if it's alot of it from using the same spot way to many times?
 
It was always an area with a bunch of scar tissue and has only been growing as I use it more. Doesn't get bigger from time alone. It's hard for me to hit anywhere else and when I hit my forearms even when I register and all I always get swollen bruises. The area I am worried about is not warm to the touch or swollen surrounding it. Just a raised area that is a tiny bit painful when pressed on.
 
Sounds like you missed a little bit, leading to some swelling, on top of scar tissue already there from repeated use of the same spot.

You really need to be rotating your sites, or that's going to get worse, and one day that vein will collapse entirely and you'll be forced to go somewhere else anyway. It's better to find good other sites to use now then when your sick and your go-to spot no longer works.
 
It sort of hurts when I don't apply pressure but it isn't like an even lump or growth which is why I think it's just alot of scar tissue. I think it hurts from constant use and minor misses I just get paranoid about abssess's because I don't want my arm to fall off.
 
I stopped using this spot like 6 hours ago so I'm going to wait until morning to decide what I do. Because it was heavily abused I'm going to see if it gets worse or slowly goes away since I stopped using it.
