Lump in armpit - very worried

Definitely check it out with a doctor asap. Probably is nothing, but at the worst it could be lymphatic cancer. Doubt it, but you never know. Get it checked out.
 
How long have you had it? I get those sometimes, probably lymph nodes as people have said. I freaked out the first time, but it disappeared after a couple of days.

I'd say whether you should be worried or not depends on how long it has been there.
 
It could be worse - you could have a lump like this in one of your testicals.

At least this way when you do finally go to the doctor it wont be quite so embarrassing. Just don't tell him your drug history with the botched mcat - if you think it puts you at a higher risk of cancer lie and say you used to smoke heavily but since gave up. Might be worth mentioning the steroids though.
 
i had swollen lymphnodes under my armpits in the past, like 8 years ago, during a time when i was abusing crystal meth. Stopping the drug and generally looking after myself by adopting a healthy diet made them go down quickly, and they went away completely after a few months.
 
Update: I got ill with a sore throat, developed swollen lymph nodes on my neck and felt generally rough for a few days. I'm okay now and the lump has disappeared.
 
Many things it could be, it actually needs to be assessed by a medical Docter, we cannot tell you what it is or isn't from a description, it could be many things that are harmless, or something sinsister, do you have any health problems aside from this lump? I recommend seeing a doctor if you have insurance or a free clinic if not, trust me dude the last doctor I seen was in prison and that was 3 years ago, they work for the moment, go see a free clinic if it worries you that much.

sorry but whatever reason it is that you cannot see a doctor must become invalid in the face of something like this, a free clinic can and will assess it shit i use to just go to the emergency room for whatever when I needed to they will take you trust me and thats from a broke ghetto muthafucka with no medical care options whatsoever who knows what they are talking about, just throw in some extra symptoms at the desk and you'll get in there just fine

keep your body healthy by giving it what it needs and not imposing too much of what doesn't serve it. let your body be your temple, respect it :) *me talking to self again really*
 
I did actually see the doctor (sorry I forgot to say) and although she couldn't say what it was for sure, she did say that tumors don't usually present in that way.
 
swollen lymph = sign of infection / toxicity. Body having a hard time ridding itself of toxic drug metabolites and the oxidative stress that comes with that could well be a reason.
 
Sounds like a swollen lymphnode. Take some motrin and chill out.
