Does anyone else ever have something similar to a form of what's called "sundowning" in elderly patients? Sometimes around dusk I get nervous and worrisome. I don't know why. But I've read stories about elderly patients, especially those with dementia, having issues with "sundowning". I don't believe I have dementia but I wonder if there's something parallel in non-demented people. Does anyone else get shifty eyed shady around dusk?

yes as well as others around me. mines occasional and others more often.
to be honest im kinda sketchy anyway until ya get to know me or i they.
i worked for those with dementia and the like and sundowners is a real thing ime.
dont get me wrong... there can be many factors involved with this phenom > to nail down the culprit may be a little tricky. specially if there may be more than one. say; medication induced (when did we take that med(s) ), more demands on time and or multitasking and just flubbing here and there, environmental changes (we were outside now indoors wth? ), others come into the picture (wife/kids/husband/pets/parents/randos etc) and throw off the "energy" that used to be the list could go on i feel.

but yes i feel it at times but unsure if it has always been there or not.
i def see it in others if familiar with them but if unknown probably wouldnt notice unless something highly unusual transpired.

not sure where life is heading but reckon we will be there

I have always felt the worst in the evening, a overwhelming sense of dread and deep despair.

Over here in the uk it gets pitch black at 5pm this time of year. So some good training hours 🤣
