Today is the first day of thanksgiving break and one of our favorite hometown artists is celebrating his cd release party downtown! Of course were going but we want to ensure its a great time! So we begin by taking about 2 hits of some blotter my friend got. This is where we went wrong however..
About two hours before we dropped two good friends of ours got pulled over and arrested for possession with intent to deliver as well as two counts of paraphernalia. We were all fairly upset over this but still determined to have a fun night and worry about it tomorrow.
Anyway, back to the concert, by the time we arrived at the venue the doses had already begun kicking in and we were feeling really goofy standing in line. By the time we had got inside we were blown away by the amount of people inside. So before the headliner came on we chilled in the back and smoked a blunt.
Finally the man took the stage and we were able to really get into the show. With about twenty minutes remaining my good friend T suddenly got really angry with me when I tried to point out some friends of his and took off into the crowd. Now he's one of those kids that gets frustrated easily and is very stubborn so we figured he would return shortly.
Suddenly the concert ended and we still hadn't made contact with him. So we returned to my car and tried calling him non stop for 45 minutes. Finally we got a call from a friend who said a friend of his had witnessed our buddy T wrestling police. Panicked we head back to our area and go to a common friends house to figure things out. On the way out we saw an ambulance parked across from the venue with someone outside and people crowded all around..
First thing we did was call T's mom and tell him we had lost him and that he was tripping, they're pretty open about their respective drug use so this wasn't a problem. Anyway she thanked us for calling and told us that he was in fact at a hospital downtown but didn't know any other details yet.
The next day we heard from his mom that he had broken his orbital (eye socket) and was going to need a couple surgeries. The day after that I went to visit and subsequently ended up taking him home from the hospital. I found out he had no recollection of what had happened and is apparently facing charges for assaulting an officer.
Finally today we got in contact with the kid who had witnessed it happen and he told us exactly how he got his injury:
Our friend T was running on cars in front of the venue and a police officer tried to grab him so he began to walk away and turned around and gave the officer the finger and said fuck you. Then the officer grabs T again and turns him around so T jabbed the officer right in the jaw. At this point another officer was running over and tackled T. After hand cuffing him on the ground they supposedly each hit him 15 times and we hypothesized at least once was with a black jack to create the type of softball sized wound he had on his eye which shattered part of his orbital
Jeeezzz so that was pretty long, if anyone read that all I thank you very much! If not basically set and setting were bad, we tripped at a crowded concert, my friend did some crazy shit and got beat up by the cops. Thanks!
