I will attempt to do my best to make sure this report is as clear and as chronological as possible. As those of you who have done LSD and/or attempted to write a trip report, that isn't always the easiest thing to do.
It started off at around 10:30pm on Saturday night with 3 friends (we will call them L, B, and T) and myself. This was going to be my 2nd trip, my first one I had done 1 hit, and for my 2nd time I would be doing 2 hits. It was a first time for 2 other people (L and B), one having experience with other hallucinogens (B), and the last person (T) was familiar with LSD. We also had a trip sitter, who came to check on us every so often.
We all started off with 1 hit each, and set about making some pizzas we wanted to eat before we started to come up, as the last time we took this we had a bit of an uneasy feeling on an empty stomach. We all started to come up during making the pizzas, which delayed our preparation as things started becoming slightly complicated and silly. We managed to finish the pizzas and eat them, out in the backyard on some lawn chairs looking at the stars. It was approximately 11:30 or so by the time we all finished eating. L didn't like the pizza, and went inside to make a bowl of cereal. He ended up starting down a bad trip for about 30 minutes around this point, which I will get to later.
As B, T, I enjoyed the come up while L was inside, talking about silly things and giggling madly. I had my laptop outside, and we kept good music going, Beatles, Doors, DJ Tiesto, etc.. in the background to help keep the mood extra positive. Everyone agreed that colors were much more vivid, and things were brighter in general during our come up. We all also were experiencing the general 'weirdness' sort of feeling and a slowly altering thought process. By now, we had all finished our 2nd hit, and T, being the most experienced out of all of us had taken a couple more. I stuck with 2, as did everyone else.
Around 12:00 or so, 2 others showed up and joined in. I didn't know they were coming over, but at this point I was feeling pretty good so I didn't mind the additional company (H and E). They each took 2 hits as well, and joined us outside while we all talked and smoked cigarettes, still looking at the stars. Just as H and E started to come up, maybe 30-45 minutes after they took their hits, we noticed that L had been inside for quite some time, and we all went in to see what he was up to. He was downstairs in the living room, with all the lights off and no TV on, sitting on the couch in the darkness. It was obvious he was having a bad trip, and unfortunately everyone tried crouding around him to try and help bring him out of it. I could tell he didn't like everyone being around and was making things worse, so I got everyone back outside except for T, which is L's partner since I knew he would be the only one to help L out at this point. T ended up helping L come out of it by convincing him making coffee would make everything better, and L ended up making a huge pot of coffee, and came right out of it without even having to drink any.
Everyone ended up being back outside, still in good spirits and glad to see that L was back to enjoying himself. H and E were coming up strong now, and they were saying and noticing things that the rest of us had mentioned before. It was funny to see our two late arriving friends having an identical come up to our own. At this point, we all gave each other hugs, and it felt -incredible-.
It was around 2:00-3:00am by now, and we all decided to go inside down to T's room. On the way down, I got 'caught' in a piece of artwork on the wall, so I decided to bring it down to the room with us to look at later. The room is fairly big, and full of neat things to keep anyone on acid entertained with things to look at and explore. Lights along the ceiling and walls, scented candles, neat pieces of artwork on the walls and lots of other random things strewn about to check out. There were also a lot of comfy places to sit, some nice chairs and a really big lovesac that everyone had sprawled out on. We got some candles going and dimmed the lights, and put on some Delerium. Anyone who has listened to Delerium will probably agree that they are an amazing group, and especally so when you are on LSD. We ended up listening to them for the rest of the night.
T got one of his fog machines going, and soon the room was filled with fog. We all laid out and watched the lights on the ceiling and walls. I was mostly paying attention to everyone else, listening to the silly things everyone else was saying and doing. I could tell the trip was effecting the other people than myself. I had managed to keep a relatively clear head, wanting to make sure everyone was happy and that the music kept playing. I have noticed that if you don't focus on your trip, you can still manage to keep fairly level headed. There is still always an aspect of the drug that doesn't allow you to 'escape' it, but I was still definitely in control over myself and my emotions. I am sure on higher doses that isn't possible, and would like to eventally experience that level, but definitely in a setting with less people.
One of our late arriving friends, H, was tweaking out all silly over certain things (was his first time also), and my roommate B wanted to go out and take a break from him. I went with him upstairs to smoke a few cigarettes and a bowl, T had ended up joining us right after we went up to smoke a cig as well, watching B and I smoke the bowl. I have read that pot doesn't affect people while on LSD, but it certainly did for B and I. Right after we finished, I started seeing a lot heavier OEVs, trails and rainbow tint around everything I looked at. We also got a serious case of pot giggles, and decided to go back down to the room to check up on everyone.
Seeing that everyone was still doing good, I decided to allow myself to sink into my trip, sprawling out in a comfortable chair and letting the trip take me whereever it liked. Delerium was still playing on the radio, and I just stared up at the lights on the ceiling, watching rainbows swirl around them and form intricate patterns between sections of lights on the walls and ceiling. The fog machine was still going, everyone was giggling and having a good time. Everyone told me to start dancing after a while, and it 'made sense'. Does anyone else ever feel that certain things 'make sense' while on LSD? During part of the night I sat against a wall upside down with my feet in the air because it 'made sense' at that particular point in time.
Anyway, the music was sounding amazing so I started dancing. My friends requested I do as I like to practice liquid, poplocking and botting, and while I'm not all that great, apparantly it looks amazing when you are on acid. All my friends loved it, and I really felt into it, and parts of my body felt indescribable while I was doing it. If any of you have seen the movie Brotherhood of the Wolf, towards the end the bad guy had this bone sword that would expand into sections and then 'click' back together. While I was dancing my arms and legs felt as if they were doing this, my fingers, forearm, and arm all different sections that would spread apart and then piece back together along with the music. After a while of me doing this, T had picked up the painting I brought down from upstairs, balancing it against himself for whatever reason. As he breathed, I could see the painting expand into 3D, sort of melting against himself, and there were sections of the painting where I could see my friend's body through it. I stopped dancing and pointed this out to everyone, and everyone agreed with what I was seeing. No one except me seemed to like it though, saying that the painting was becoming a permanant part of my friend, so it was put away. I had ended up looking over it a few more times during the night. I laid out on the lovesac with my friends and listened to the music while everyone else did their thing.
After a while T got out one of the drums he has in his room, and started to play it, doing a heartbeat sort of beat quietly. This had an immediate and profound effect on me, and I allowed my eyes to close halfway into a sort of 'LSD vision' to see where this would take me. My OEVs were much stronger with the drum playing, and I could 'see' the sound wave from the drum each time a beat was struck and feel my body melt into this wave that I saw. I have had interest and involvement in shamanism since I was around 16 (I am 22 now), and I could feel myself start to lapse into a trance from the drumming. For those of you who are not familiar with shamanism, it is a common practice to put yourself into a trance through drumming, and then 'descend' into a lower world via a tunnel to do shamanic related work. It is frequent for me to imagine a cave I know about in real life through which to enter the lower world, but this time an entrance was chosen in my mind for me, which to me looked like a hole where a snake might live in the ground. I felt immediately pulled down into the tunnel, and I was being whisked down the tunnel at an alarming speed, and the details of the tunnel as I went through it were very real and apparant. However, there was still other people in the room though, talking and giggling loudly so it was difficult to remain in my trance, so I allowed myself to come out. I found it was incredibly easy to fall into this trance while on LSD, and especially with the drumming even though it was not a conventional beat for shamanic work, and would like to see how much further I could take it in the future.
T, B and I went back upstairs to smoke another cigarette, and it was around 5:30am or so by now, and we watched the dawn. It was profound and very beautiful, strong beams of rainbows shooting out away from the light where the sun was not quite starting to rise yet. There is a large tree in my friend's backyard, and while there was no wind, it was moving about and morphing into itself with intricate patterns forming and dissolving within the leaves. The tree also seemed to have a friendly demeanor. Cigarettes also had an interesting appeal, leaving trails up and down along my sight of vision whenever they were moved around. Rainbow swirls and patterns still emininated from everything I looked at, and I had a very strong sense of euphoria for the entire duration of my trip, which ended up being over 12 hours. There are still many things I could not and would not be able to describe, and while my trip was low dose, there are still a lot of aspects to it for which I have no words to be able to tell you about.
Thank you for reading.
