LSD saved my life

I love you LSD.

By the way good reading lysergicanimal, you made some good points. Try paragrapghs next time though my eyes are killing me ;)

The problem I have with that is the length of the LSD experience. Would someone want to spend 8 hours or so with their psychiatrist (or even 5 hours and run the comedown on their own)? I know I wouldn't if I were in that predicament. Then again, that's just me.

If I got to know my psychiatrist a bit better I don't think I would mind taking it and articulating some feelings to him. It might actually be extremely beneficial to someone if they had that ego loss with another person they could trust to keep everything you say confidential. I saw my psychologist today and I defenitely think if she gave me some LSD for our session I would be more than glad to stay there and talk out all my problems if the setting was good. Taking LSD in a tiny, white room with some chairs and a picture on the wall would get a bit cramped for 8 hours though, you defenitely need a more vibrant setting and a psychiatrist you can trust. Besides that it would be great. Remeber 8 hours on LSD is not like 8 hours sober. If you had the right guide the trip could get extremely spiritual and very open, of course it could get intense too but it can be controlled with the right person around.

lysergicanimal - you clearly dont know what youre talking about. i didn't even bother to read your entire post because it was full of misinformation and lack of paragraphs but if you want some examples of what facts you have wrong here you go.

When pure pharmaceutical lsd was avail. Back in the fifties and sixties, This condition was unheard of which points to the crap that is being passed off as LSD these days.

shrooms (which obviously haven't changed at all in quality) are perfectly capable of producing hppd, so it is clearly not a product of adulterated lsd but rather an affect that can occur from virtually any halluciogen.

Further more I have never heard of anyone developing permanent psychosis from the ingestion of lsd.

so because you haven't heard of it, it doesn't exist? there have been tons of cases of LSD induced mental problems and in some cases they are permament as you can read about in this study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/...tool=iconabstr&query_hl=2&itool=pubmed_DocSum

I have heard a lot about bad trips & people ending up on the psych ward, but never permanently. As far as I know lsd is the least toxic drug known to man! I have never heard of anyone dying from an overdose.

so once again, because you haven't heard of it, it doesn't exist? according to erowid a few people have died from lsd overdoses by mistaking it for a different substance and ingesting massive amounts. im not trying to say lsd overdose is a serious risk (most of us would have a difficult time affording a fatal dose of lsd) but im just showing how your arguments dont hold up. you cant just say something doesnt hapepen because you personally havent heard of it happening.

My first trip really helped me a lot. I had been severely depressed and suicidal for over 4 years straight. I was always an asshole, being mean to people just because I felt like shit.

That trip was with 12 HBWR seeds. It was the most difficult, unpleasant trip of my life until near the end. Then I was overcome with the deepest peace and feelings of well-being I had ever felt. The depression went away completely for a while and never came back nearly as strong as it was before. I no longer had the urge to treat people badly. I was not suicidal anymore. There is a good chance that I would have killed myself by now if this had not happened. I had already tried to twice.

take acid if you want but I think shulgin said it best. A fraction of a gram of some non descript white powder cannot make you do anything, it only reveals aspects of yourself that you were previously unaware of. For some people psychs are the catylist to change

This is the fact of the matter LSD has done amazing things for some people ~ I know others who think it's OK but say mushrooms are the answer. Different peole maybe different brain chemistry need different keys !
Many people seem to need no key at all !
I agree that everyone should have the opportunity to experience psychedelics but that they could change society en -masse is incredibly unlikely ~ however the idea that LSD /mushrooms may change the viewpoint of a person whose destiny lies in a powerful political/economic situation is a valid enough reason to mantain hope that one day ~ we may see the job done more sensibly !

hey there, let's not bash weeds potential. whlie many do use weed as an alterant, when used respectfully it serves the same purpose the other psychedlics do. and is, although likely less noticabley to most, a life-impacting experience.

I too feel as if LSD has helped me overcome my depression and I have been leading a much happier, more fulfilling life, with far less escapism than in the previous 15 years. I have had new realisations and a better point of view of life in general. I smile at people and want to spread positive thoughts and energy, and no longer have time to dwell on the negative things (unless its important and close to home, but I think you get my point). It made me think deeply about the impact and impression I can have on other peoples lives, and all the negative impact I have had on certain peoples lives. Now I try to live giving people only positive experiences from meeting me, as much as possible. I feel like I'm turning into a hippy or something, but I like it.

Its still early days tho... I started this journey in November, and so far its all going great. I just hope I manage to maintain this :)
