LSD - and the space groovers!
Well lets see now .. I had a very interesting weekend ! lets begin by saying it was the winter solstice where I am from … and naturally there was a party planned in the bush a few hours drive from my house … I planned ahead and brought 5 trips and a pil (I halved the pil with my friend later) (they were “alex the kids” and “white apple”)
A friend was having an 18th birthday party that night … and I went with a mate of mine … I had one trip for this party … it was quite funny really … the party didn’t really have very much energy when we arrived … so my friend and I made our way to the garden and sat down in this nice little chair … kind of at the bottom of the garden… anyway I was feeling the acid, well a friend noticed before me actually .. as I was leaning back just staring up at the stars … and he doesn’t really get into the psychedelics … and was like
“what are you looking at trippa” … right then my night began… my perception was being altered every so slightly … very subtle. It was as if I was at the bottom of the party … looking up at all these intoxicated human beings … I realised why I have barely drank a drop of alcohol in little under a year (if you want to act like a fool, go all out about it, i say) … I saw friend M and told him we would be going soon. Friend A and D were going to be picked up along the way (Friend D had DMT). I know driving on acid should always be a no-no … but these tabs aren’t really THAT strong, and I shamefully admit I have experience driving on certain substances…
We took off ! … the vibe was great.. I was very happy and I put on a CD … it was a psychedelic trance mix …. Very twisted stuff, but only a taste of what was to come.
After picking up A and D … we took off again. I noticed it felt like I was flying through space .. not literally … it was very subtle … but the lines on the road would occasionally warp … and it felt like they were cyber lines I had to follow if I was to make it to mars !!! very fun !! after driving for a little over 2 hours we made it ….
I’ll describe the scene … way out bush, lots of trees … it felt like I was coming into a space station … if you have never been to a bush doof (as the psychedelic gatherings are know in Australia) I will describe what its like ….
Basically UV lights and glowing psychedelic banners everywhere.... lots of lovely nice smiley people who i guess many would say are hippies (I don't understand the negative dogma people attach to the word hippy ... but anyway ... this party was full of space groovers!!! … the dancefloor was right next to the river …. I think we arrived around 3ish… and the vibe was magic … lots of psychedelics in the minds of the punters… and lots of smiles!! Basically the DJ line up at this party consisted of 3 of my favourite DJ’s … and one who is an absolutely crazy nutter … plays the most psychedelic mind twisting psychedelic trance you could imagine (dark nebula).
We all made our way down to the dancefloor and prepared a little set up … blankets, pillows, bong, ect, ect …. A and D brought some mushroom caps, myself and M ate some more acid … I dropped 2 more tabs bringing it up 3 hits (not the strongest of acid, but these 2 hits got the mind twock’in pretty good). It was time for a dance … launchpad was playing, another fave DJ of mine …
M came and grabbed me .. .reminded me that Dark nebula was playing in 20 minutes … we went and ate half a pil each … white apples … I am glad I did this, as I think it may have helped me get a grip on a few things during dark nebula’s set
This is when things start to go a little nuts … the acid was taking strong affects on my mind … one of the psychdelic banners was a ball of energy which appeared to be flying through space .. it was just a beautiful illuminated UV drawing …. But it looked to me like it was actually a projector .. and I was that energy ball .. flying through space …
I guess it’s a little big hazy past this point … I don’t think I’ve ever tripped this much on the dancefloor … first thing I noticed was my hands felt like those giant hands you see at sports events (you know the ones you wave in the air when you score) … well this was a little disturbing … it actually felt like it was banging against my feet and weighing me down … very trippy, I went with the flow … and it went away
infactf I could feel the fear coming ... yeh i was tripping pretty hard ... i have had a bit of a difficult trip in this situation .. were everywhere i looked it seemed as if people were plotting against me ... (i had a bad time that night!) ... well this happen, but not the plotting against me .. i looked around .. and it seemed like they were talking about me .. but i thought .. who am i to assume what these people are thinking about .. i'm tripping ... and like instant coffee ... the fear washed away ... I felt it oooz out of me into the ground ... crazy
… dark nebula was playing and it was absolutely going off … unbeleiveable, no matter what I say not a lot of people on this earth could relate to this feeling … its as if you have been thrown into a psychdelic bubble … full of psyhchedelic sounds and visuals .. and just thrown around to the sound of the bass
… DOOF DOOF DOOF …and then all of a sudden I remember hearing this unearthly sound (which isn't unusual at a psytrance party, but this had an intense effect upon my ego, i guess you could say) …as if out of no where .. .it was a high pitched buzzer … with a layers of other psychedelic sounds …. Kind of like .. DOOF DOOF DOOF >.. bzzzzzZZZZZZZwwwworrrrrrpppp!! Hehe … it put me into another dimension and I totally forgot who I was, what I was doing … what was going on …. This lasted only 10 or so but for those 10 seconds I had a feeling of “@#(*@&#%&*@#*&%”…. Somewhere else… it happened a few other times that night … it was much like a psychedelic orgasm … makes me shiver thinking about it …..
It must have been 5am when I hit my 2 last tabs …. I remember holding them thinking with that devil/angel conscience thought pattern … “fuck I’m tripping of my head … should I eat these …” it was very bizarre … I could sense both the devil and the angel thinking for a moment … it was like they were under the influence of LSD as well and they were confused … all of a sudden my psychedelic conscience jumped in and said … just eat them ... and go with the flow
Haha I laughed and ate them both .. it was classic .. I knew all week prior to this night that I would be tripping …. And I wanted to trip intensely … intense it was !!
When I went back to the dancefloor I was taken away by luke psywalker’s set … absolutely amazing … I remember looking around with that tript out expression you get when your tripping .. and thinking what normal people would think of us freaks in the bush tripping off our heads … and then I went into gameboy vision … I was looking down at myself and it was like platform video game vision … I was incontrol of me … just dancing in the most outlandish fashion … I noticed this little girl walk from the top right of the gameboy screen (seriously .. I was in third person, .. I couldn’t look out of my own eyes) … this little girl walked up to me in the middle of the screen .. and looked up at me watching the screen (hard to explain) .. and then scurried of to the bottom left of the screen .. I noted it .. and continued trancing out … I was up the front 5 metres from psywalker … and I couldn’t see him … all the UV art and psychedelic colours were warping and taking my eyes from my desire area to focus on! … I noticed this little girl come again from the top right .. scurry along right next to me …. Look me in the eyes.. and then scurry off ….that was the beginning of this loop …. I was okay at first … but was freaking me out … she just kept coming from the opposite direction she was going over and over and over and over ... loooooopy
… so I decided to go and have a smoke ! .. the sun was rising and as the acid effect begin to subside to a more sane level … I began to notice the ecstasy rushes … very nice … especially during franny’s set … another fav DJ …. I danced until my feet were sore and then went to the pillows and blankets and smoked and listened …
Was back to bassline at lunchtime (far back enough to drive home anyway)
I love acid … it’s a powerful psychdelic that can take you to place your imagination cannot imagine !!!
