Hey,

So let me give a brief history.

Pot - habitually 4 years
Psychedelics- 2 1/2 years (lsd, mushrooms, alll sorts of RC's)

3 weeks prior:
Alcohol - every day (2-3 drinks, except the 2 nights coming up to the trip)
Hash - once, in a cigarette

I've tripped alot in my life, high doses, accidental high doses, and never had a bad trip. Like, I've thoroughly enjoyed them all!

this happened 2 weeks ago, I've been in france since late may, and the last psychedelic I took was on may 24th (4-aco-det), then on June 16th, after getting hash the night before, I took 2 hits of this acid at 1pm. Exactly 1 hour into the trip, I smoked a cigarette with some of the hash, about halfway through smoking, I saw the most insane visual, this little, orb-like star, that was shining millions of brilliant metallic colors an indescribable amount of times per second, starting floating back and forth in my vision, then it doubled, then I blacked out...

I was out cold for 30 mins, i was seizing a little (have no history whatsoever of seizures) and then became very rigid, I woke up 30 mins later, in a sweat, with my back in an intense amount of pain, the ambulance was 30 mins late (ha, crazy french), and they were all chuckling when I told them I took acid, and wasn't "just" having a seizure.

I smoked some of the hash the next day, and it was clearly plain hash, and like I said, the acid, was definitely LSD.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this happened?

SWIM has had this happen to him before on mushies. His gf brought him to the ER where the Doc informed him that he didn't have a true siezure, but infact his bloodpressure had gotten very low. The Doc also said he believed that a nerve in his brain may have gone awry from dehydration. SWIM forgets the name of the nerve but the Doc said it was pretty common. Did you have enough food and water throughout the day?, because SWIM learned nutrition is very important when tripping because of this. Also, maybe the hash was just really dank and you greened out. Hope this helps you man.

It's funny (not really) that u say that ur back was in pain because the first time I got on acid and my girlfriends first time in a few years right, she didn't have a good mind set for the whole day so after a half hour after taking her second she threw up and went to lay down. Soonafter she had some kinda of brain overload and started twitching real bad and complained of the back of her head where like ur nerves connect to ur brain at the top of ur spine, hurting and throbbing. As well as her spine, I think she had shocks down it. She had whole parts of her body going numb and stuff and her facial features she said went numb.

It's crazy, I reckon it's just an overload of too much stimulis. Though I don't know if that acid actually was LSD. But yeah definatly the hash as u said cause u said u'd only had it once. I'd get used to the hash before trying it again :)

And good nutrition would certainly help prevent it happening again.

more than likely simply Psychosomatic.
that boy needs therapy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~what does that mean?~~~ you're a nut; crazy in the coconut.
Aussie,
Yes, my back was in tremendous pain, TREMENDOUS. It was extremely painful to move my back, sitting down and standing up, just terrible. And from what my brother told me, (he also tripped but no hash), I was twitching badd and drooling
and Sega, go be high somewhere else! BL is no place for that!!
The star visual you had right before the seizure was probably the little bioelectrical storm brewing in your brain that started your seizure rather than an LSD visual. Psychedelics seem to decrease the seizure threshold. It may be that the cigarette acted as a catalyst in this case. Nicotine is a psychostimulant and whatever aberrant signaling patterns the LSD and hash were contributing to were probably amplified by smoking and then *bzzztzzt!* you shorted out. I suggest avoiding stimulants, stimulating activities, or anything that has been strongly correlated with the onset of seizures (there's probably a list if you search) if you trip in the future.
