I think it's also important to differentiate between what is a solo trip. Tripping in an environment with roomates or family who are not part of the experience, or going out for walks or into public is much different than locking yourself in a dark closet.
 
It would also be a good idea to take it early so your tripping when the sun goes down. sunsets can be fuckin sweet on acid and you will also get to experience trippin when its light out and at night in the same trip. The visuals can be really cool in the day.
