Wierd trip - skeptical about it being LSD
I managed to obtain 5 hits of what was supposed to be LSD. I do not know the source personally, it was through a friend of a friend but I was told it was reliable. The 5 hits were cut from a sheet and wrapped in tin foil. They looked like any other size paper I've seen, the squares were bright red with lines of black that must have been part of a larger design. My friend and I each took 1 hit at 6:30 pm as the super bowl began. I had 1 beer and had smoked a blunt just prior and was already a bit intoxictated but still feeling quite aware of things. My friend was feeling likewise, although he had consumed a bit more beer. The paper had a metallic taste and I kept it in my mouth until it disintegrated. Within the next 30 mins I thought I might feel a slight body buzz but wasn't sure if I was confusing it with the good vibes I was already feeling. I know I often get a slight "placebo buzz" when I take acid, even if I later found it was fake which I suspect may be a little bit of adrenaline in anticipation of the come-up.
As has been the case before, I never felt the buzz intensify and immediately started questioning the quality of the acid. My friend reported not feeling any noticable effect so I decided to take another around 8:00. Again there was a noticable metallic taste. Within the next hour I was not coming up as I expected and decided that we must have either bunk or very week stuff. I was feeling very disappointed and split the last 2 with my friend hoping that just maybe I was too high and the hits werer just of a low dose. By 11:30 I had long come down from the weed and was feeling pretty bummed not only about not tripping but that my panthers had lost the super bowl.
I was getting a headache and just wanted to smoke some herb and pass out. I drove back with my friend to his house where we smoked several bowls of some mid grade herb. I felt fairly high after smoling several bowls and my headache wasn't so noticable. By 12:50 or so I drove back to my house. My headache had come back in full force and as I was pulling up at home around 1:00 I suddenly noticed something out of the ordinay. The mailboxes looked a bit strange as I drove through my neighborhood and my vision seemed slightly altered. I quickly went to bed wanting only to just go to sleep but my headache was still there and I could not fall asleep at all. I tossed and turned until 2:00 am or so until I went to the bathroom. Turning on the light, my pupils seemed pretty diliated and the patterns on the wallpaper seemed to be expanding and contracting slightly. It felt rather trippy although the body buzz was not very pleasant at all, almost felt like I had the flu as I was getting the chills and my head would not stop hurting. I sat and listened to some music and looked at some cool visualisations on my computer for a short while and then went and laid back in my bed. The music sounded kind of cool but my headphones just wouldn't feel comfortable on my head and I didn't want to turn on my speakers and wake anyone. I finally passed out at around 6:30 am. The next day my friend's grilfriend told me he didn't sleep all night either although I haven't talked to him yet to hear his experience first hand. I feel fine today with no negative side effects.
The previous night my friend and I had decided to try and get our money back which I was told our source had agreed to although he was apparently suprised by our request and said noone has ever complained. Now I'm not sure what to do as there was obviously some drug on the paper. Now to my knowledge there are very few substances that are psychoactive at the amount that can be put on paper which is why blotter is usually supposed to be the real deal or just fake. However, I have never heard of it taking 7-8 hours to reach the peak of an LSD trip. The information on erowid indicated that the peak occurs within the first 2 hours. As a sidenote, LSD seems to be rather dry in my area. I only recently decided to again start exploring with LSD, having only tripped a few times several years before. In my first 4 attemps at obtaining it, I didn't trip hard any of those times, each time feeling either nothing or a mild body buzz accompanied by a headache similar to the one I experiened now. On the other hand, the first time that I tried mushrooms the other week, the onset was fast and altough the trip wasn't very intense, the vibes were very pleasant. Im questioning wheather it's just the lack of quality acid in my area, having a higher than usual tolerance or a combination of both. Thanks for reading and all opinions would be appreciated.
