LSD egodeath, Feedback would be awesome!

You do not really have to interact with the drugs to get to the altered outlook, but you can actively explore the different sets of sensory neurons. The mind is flexible, but LSD can leave an impression upon the mind.

Some people are adults by the time they are 9. Others of us never shake the feeling of being a kid, even when you are 55 you are still you, your thoughts and emotions from childhood stay with you the rest of your life.

Alright everyone, Thanks a lot for the feedback! Since my last trip i have stayed away from LSD and am currently snowboarding in Breckenridge. I have been eating about 100-300mg of mile high bars(weed edibles) for the past 3 days, shredding the pow pow with my friends, and i must say i feel 100% better and am now certain with time i will return to my original state of mind.

Hey Cody I'd definitely lay off psychedelics for a very long while, especially drugs like LSD and ecstacy as they tend to flood your brain with seratonin. Seven hits at once I'm sure you can imagine could cause some serious damage, especially if like some people continue using frequent or high doses. It sounds like your brain chemistry is temporarily imbalanced, but if you give your brain a chance to recouperate, you'll probably bounce back. Take care not to overdue it, I've known of people to be stuck feeling in a state of permanent depression from too much too often. Why go there? Get plenty of vitamin C, rest, and walk in the sun a half hour every day. It will help you feel better. Take care.
I would like to correct you as LSD does not cause a release of serotonin.
There have been some studies to show that perhaps serotonin levels increased slightly but not to a statistically significant degree

I wouldn't worry too much about the "egodeath" stuff - there's no such thing. It only exists in the imagination of people who've read tattered copies of Tim Leary. And Tim Leary only made up the term in the first place because he thought it sounded better than saying "I was stoned off my tits". "Yes your honour, I had an ego death..and a buddhist satori..".

If you had an uncomfortable experience - what you need to do, like you would with any uncomfortable experience in your life, is keep busy, keep fit and occupy your time well. Time will take care of the rest.

I don't agree that ego death (or maybe we should call it loss to the point that you become aware of something greater than yourself instead of just yourself) is not real. However I do think you should lay off psychedelics if that's the way you feel now. Nothing is permanent in the brain, the brain recovers from things. I feel it's probably most likely you did not damage yourself, as LSD is very physically safe, but that you are experiencing discomfort from some of the things you experienced, it has thrown you off energetically, perhaps you are unsure about some things. It puts my mind at ease to consider that reality is what it is, regardless of whatever experiences we have. No sense in worrying about it. Some people, like myself, find it fascinating to explore what it could really be, but for others, and for myself at some points as well, it can be quite shaking to suddenly question the way you are used to seeing things. The best thing you can do is just keep living your life, like Ismene said, keep busy, occupy your time with things that are interesting, and your psyche will right itself.

LSD is a very dangerous chemical. Exposure to small amounts can kill. It has a large safety ratio but still, tiny doses can be lethal and clearly psychologically traumatic as well.

Psilocybin Mushrooms are physically safer, despite a smaller safety ratio, due to the physical quantity of mushrooms in a potentially lethal dose.

I don't quite follow you pmose. How many blotters would you have to take to put yourself in physical danger? 100? 1000?

Taking 100 blotters would probably be unpleasant but the psychological trauma doesn't keep going up and up - you only have so many brain receptors. Once those are filled the rest just floats round your body until you urinate it out.

Well if you have a bunch of crystal LSD then it could become dangerous if you were senselessly reckless and ingested it without diluting it and in a sizable amount. I believe the only recorded death from direct LSD toxicity was one guy who had crystal and injected like 300mg, thinking it was speed. That's my recollection anyway, I haven't been active around here in years and I've been thinking about other kinds of stuff.

I'd still say mushrooms are a safer drug however.
