Anyone have any tips for using LSD to explore deep-rooted issues of the psyche?

Listen to some calming music during the duration of your trip. I like pretty much all regae music it really sets the mood for self exploration. I notice that its very possible to loose track of linier thought proccess durring a trip (for me anyway) so music really anchors the brain down. Try not to delve to far into topics you're weary about, you may not like what you find. Unless you're that type of person then by all means go for it.

Music, calming environment (park, beach, quiet room, ect..), some paper perhaps to map out you're thoughts. If this were me doing the exploration ide only dose 1 tab

Dark room, sigur ros, opened mind. As long as you don't avoid it your mind is always free to explore.

if you are honestly trying to dig up 'deep-rooted issues of the psyche', prepare to be frightened and confused. the reason your psyche stuck them way down there is to protect your from yourself. of course, it can be very freeing and euphoric when you do finally discover why you do the things you do (so you can make positive changes) but it is not something to take lightly and it is MOST DEFINITELY not an easy 'flip a switch' kind of deal.

i would not suggest trying to fight your demons without a skilled therapist (significant other, close friend, shaman, whatever) to help guide you through it safely. the light at the end of the tunnel is bright only because you must walk in the darkness for so long.

if not, then......you must have taken psychology 101. SRS? Do you have your own works/material/papers etc? Are you self studied? An intellectual? You're gonna' end up like Micheal Jackson if you continue with your psychology bent. "Psyche" means spirit in some circles. Are you practicing a religion? And if, which one?

I completely agree. The subconscious is a survival mechanism which protects our awareness from things that we may not be able to handle with ease. While LSD may be a catalyst for different perspectives on your own mind and emotions, it may also bring into your consciousness things that the mind has actively repressed.

I was interested in the psychedelic experience initially as a way of understanding myself more and developing my own awareness of my mind. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it's definitely not a simple thing, as I once thought. Whether you work through your understanding with a therapist or with reflection on your experience (psychedelic or not) LSD is not an external force that will make you understand the psyche without any effort.

Having said that, if you want to explore inwardly then make sure you're comfortable and whether you have company or not make sure you're not going to be disturbed by anybody else's drama while you're doing it.

Why not get yerself' trained in hypnosis. Make a list of some personal troubles ie. feeling guilty for jerking off to females in your high school and how the guilty feelings abberated your sexual identification and mojo. You really need to know a bit of hypnosis to follow, but, basically have some confidence in yourself while "changing" yer' psyche. Gotta' have the hypnosis format.

And, definetely communicate with a person versed in psycholgy etc. sometimes the repressed feelings are there, and you can be free of those things by really working on it. Find someone you respect and trust.
