acid--5th time-- 300 mcg?
I had obiously taken acid 4 times before this, each being more mysterious and more insightful than the last. Those times were done with one gel tab (2 times) or two gel tabs(2 times) These were nice trips, full of thought provoking madness and endless hours of uncotrllable laughter. I got what we called the permi-grin. All I had done was smoked pot before my 1st trip and my mind was in cheimical wonderland. Visual trails, time flying by, complete loss of inhibitions to feel. It was just wonderful feeling everytime I tripped. My 5th trip was a little different.
My 5th trip was with someone and we'll call her "B". B and I got off at work at 5 and I had brought 2 hits of acid unlike any I had ever seen. They were damn expensive at 9 dollars from a good friend who usually sold them to me for 4-5. I had seen quite a bit of blotter paper in the last 9 months and was pretty accusmed to what it looked like and felt like. The blotter we had was plain white and seemed to be twice as thick as "normal" blotter paper. It has a "fuzzy" feel to and way thicker and fuzzier than normal perferated edges. We were in good spirts having never tripped together but been together for 2 months or so. We each put one hit of acid on our tounge at 5:00 and we drove the 10 minute drive home.
We arrive at my house around 5:15 disgruntled to notice that the cleaning lady is present. They only comes once a month and usually in the mornings. Damn. Oh well... still in high spirits at 5:30. 5:30 and we turn on the simpsons feeling a slight hint of creeping in our legs and in our minds. By 5:45 the dining room rug looks like it's 1 foot in the air. We decide that we couldn't stay here and needed to leave. This would later prove to be scary as hell but everythinng turned out O.K.
Rolling out of my neighbor hood (5:50) I see the most impressive trails that I have ever seen on acid. Trees passing at 30 MPH are 10 feet "wide".... it is absolutely amazing. This should of been hint one to get back to the house but the cleaning lady scared us and we were heading to a nearby park anyway. The drive to the park was scary to say the very least. The radio on the freeway (very few cars) was absolutely powerful. That's the best word to describe it. Everything was so loud and meaningful. Pure Bliss.
We get slightly lost and end up at our local mall. By now it is 6:15 and all I see are 100 foot trails and echo's. We decide to park it now and figure out what we were going to do. Impossible you say? Yup. Sitting at a bench in front of the mall, speechless, surronded by bright light (sun), trails, swirls, confusion and a little fear at this point.
This is too much we have to go home. I'm sitting at the light watching the cars go by at 50 MPH and looking like a 100 foot long oil painting was riding behind it. We finally make it to the park we are going to.... about 6:45 or 7:00. This is one of the most amazing parts of the trip. We park our car on fairly rough area by a dirt road with by some tennis courts about 100 feet from my car and make our way to a boardwalk where we have never walked the end of. As we turn around, a couple hundred feet from the car it looks like a swaying boat atop a large anthill made of quicksand. It seemed normal at that point in time. As we walk to the beginning of the wooden board walk we are talking but I'm not sure of what. I could hardly contain all of this. It was amazing. We're about 500 feet down the boardwalk looking at the beauty of the swampish forest. There are quite a few bugs out here and B thinks she is hearing helicopters. I look up to see if I see any but something distracted me. At the handrails of the boardwalk and strecthing to to the canopy of tress I see what looking like multi-colered spiderwebs. Both sides. I hate spider webs but it doesn't look like silk. Just string. I tell B that I don;t know which way down the boardwalk the car is and she starts freaking out. She's worried about the helicopters and now she thinks we're lost. I play it cool for a minute, knowing which way is the right way to go home (only two options ya know?) I tell her what's going on and she is ready to get the hell outta there so we do. The car looks amazing as we walk up to it. It is 7:30 now and it is slowly getting dusk. The sun didn't set till 9:15 so it was pretty bright out at the boardwalk.
After we have another hectic drive home (no more driving! sorry. we had to get home.) things started getting weird. We were trying to fold down a bed but we couldn't communicate very well at all. We went and got the neighbor to come calm us down a little. The ceiling was wallowing up and down about 6 inches completely (100's) filled with different colored letters. I have had ths happen in other trips but to a much, much lesser degree. I'm sitting in front of our encyclopedia's and in maybe 3 seconds I find myself engulfed in the "O" like it's a warp hole in a movie. I was in the barrel of a 3D "O". I snapped out of this in what seemed like a minute but was probably more like 5 seconds. It was 8:00 or so now and we still didn't have the bed folded out. By 9:00 or so we have the bed folded out, the tv on, the lights out and readfy for my dad to come home around this time.
My dad comes home around 9:00 with my unexpected half- sister. My half sister who I have just become acquinted to in the last 2 years. She was very chatty and we talkied for hours when she was down here last. Not this time. We watched tv, blown away, while she typed some emails and headed to bed around 10:30. We say a couple things to each other, I can never tell where she is in the house and nowadays I think she heard a lot of our coversation around 11:00 but we'll never know. The tv is nothing.. just an alien, pink, morphing box of munchkin and off-pitch voices. We decide to go outside so I could smoke a cigarette. as we walked outside, our motion sensor came on and My God, the world was amazing. Letter, numbers, melted objects graciously, yet speedily whirling around the ground like a slow spinning top. The ground was purple mostly with many different hues, rising and falling like I would almost expect an earthquake to look like. It was making me slightly sea sick but beautiful at the same time. We were only out there for 5 minutes before we went to my bedroom for the 1st time tonight.
The phone rings once. It is a friend of mine and we tell him we can't comprehend anything. He sounded like a 40 year old crying.
All that was on in my bedroom was a blacklight as we wanted all of this to slow down soon. That was pretty much out attitude from 8 or so on. However, the nest part was my favorite part and almost the end of this. We're sitting in my bedroom, all nestled up talking about various things in an uncontrollable shaky, unstable frakish voice. At least that's what it sounded like. I look up, I read out of rapidly rotating and morphing ceiling some imspiring words. Mostly single words but a few nice phrases and such. This was absolute madness. I say "B, this is the scariest most beautiful thing I have ever seen". That summed the night up for me. We dwindled off till about 3 or 4 chatting and such and I fell asleep with full visuals. I was so dead tired I just couldn't relate. I hope up feeling unusually fresh and not dirty after an acid trip like I do. B threw up around 9 saying she couldn't tell her insides from her outsides. B, a VERY strong perosn when it comes to drugs didn't want to talk about this for 2 days and seemed pretty terrified/amazed. I really don't know. She's been pretty quiet about it. I don't know how many mcg's is was? I don't even think it was true paper blotter. Same size, different thickness. Fuzzy. We dropped the other 2 a week later and spent the night in my room with the blacklight on just barely getting through it.
I was humbled from that day forward. I did two hits of mild paper a few months later and it went pretty good. I even visited my shrink (with glasses on... bright room) that day. I have never tripped super hard after that. It was 4 years ago.
Did I mention the electricity?
