Scrimit
Bluelighter
the setting: a small campside along a river, in BC. long weekend in may. my friend X and i had purchased 10 hits of blotter acid the day before.
the sun was shining, and the atmosphere was rested and relaxed. X and i both put 1 square under our tongues at 11:00. our other friends were either sober, or eating mushrooms at the time.
at about 11:15, i packed a backpack, with juice, a blanket, a few picturebooks, and a walkman. we decided to go for a walk along the stream as the psychadelics kicked in.
about 20 minutes into the walk, i begin to feel somewhat bubbly. the sun seems a little brighter, and my shrooming friends are giggling away. i sit down, and notice some slight distortion in the sand in front of me.
10 minutes after this, we all stop on a small grassy peninsula. trees around me are bending oddly, but i take this in stride (somewhat experienced with mushrooms).
we return to the tent. it's been about 1 hour since i've eaten the acid, and i'm at full strength now. i lay on the floor of the tent, and crack open a Coke. 2 of my female friends decide to use me as a pillow, and i don't complain. it's at this point that i notice some truly remarkable visuals on the ceiling of the tent. triangular patterns are "emerging" from the fabric, and are slowly combining with other patterns.
i'm thoroughly entertained.
the patterns begin to resemble a racing game, and i can change the images to "drive" my little object through a course. in addition to the whitish grey fabric, i'm beginning to see liquid splashes of yellow, pink, and blue.
after this point, i decide to leave the tent.
for some reason, i stop trying to look for visual distortions, and talk with my friends. X is the only one who's as wrecked as i am, and we appear to be on identical mental wavelengths. we talk from this point on, for about 6 hours straight. movies, inside jokes, favourite foods....we ran out of things to discuss. our friends are amused by our conversations, and i feel like entertaining them.
after about 3 hours past dosing, the effects begin to wane. walking around is still highly confusing, and entertaining, but i feel more mentally in control.
we set up a campfire that night, and we mainly discussed how we were feeling that day.
no physical side effects, but my brain just seemed to feel tired the next morning.
i'm definitely going to try that again.
