Ok so I'm hangin with two friends at a college yesterday, and one of them is like "hey dudes I got 10 hits of LSD if you wanna try it." I was like, "Hells yea!!", because I have been wanting to partake in an acid trip for a very long time.
I have decent drug experience, I was a daily mary jane smoker for over a year and have taken shrooms before and had a phenomenal trip, even with the person whose house we were at's mom came up and said "everyone in the whole neighborhood knows what you're doing and are threatening to call the cops" while we were sittin on his porch smoking cigs RIGHT at the peak I was able to handle myself despite being a bit shaken up (run-on much?). Turns out she was talking about weed........LOLOLOL that gave me a good laugh for about an hour straight when she came back and clarified. I have taken narcotics quite a bit, used DXM about 6 times and use amphetamines quite regularly for college or for w/e the fuck i want to be attentive for lol.
Well enough with that I just think that prior drug experience is invaluable information when reading a trip report as that, I think, can be a major factor in their trip. So yea he bought them for 10 bucks a piece and forwarded the price directly to me, so I bought a hit and a half. Lets call the person I bought the acid from K, and the other friend M. They are about fairly small at or less than a half a centimeter a pop. He told me that he has heard good things about this particular acid and I had talked to a few of them and they agreed. I decide to take the first one right away and take the other later as needed (and if I don't need it he will give me the money back for it).
There is a bit of a catch to trip though, I had only known K for about 5 hours lol and the mutual friend, M, wasn't going to do any. I didn't think that would be a problem and wasn't because we were pretty cool. Honestly I got more negative energy from long time friend M than K but that could be partly due to him not tripping with us and not understanding what it's actually like to trip, you know the typical questions " is everything melting????? are colors everrrrywhere." I heard that a lot that night.....
Dammit sorry about the rambling, THE REPORT SHALL BEGIN!! So we put them in our mouths and let it sit and dissolve for about 10 minutes before there is nothing left. We then decide to go on a walk around the downtown area and after about 45 minutes I start to feel it coming on. Very strange, not incredibly euphoric, heeaaaavy body load like I felt completely exhausted which isn't common as far as I know. Things would sway kinda when you don't focus on it and lights seemed a tad bit brighter. The atmosphere seemed sketchy in a sense... We are trying to find something to do, it has been over an hour and a half since we dosed, and we decide to redose; so we take our second halves. We find things overly funny, not even close to the extent of shrooms but still above average for sure. But I think that was probably excitement/anticipation for the oncoming trip.
So we're walking around downtown, I have no noticeable paranoia even with tons of people, the majority of them being shady characters to say the least. We tried getting into a show but we didn't have the money for it and I said "man i wish we could go to a show or something, but dammit we're broke." Right as I say that we turn the corner and two people come up and tell us that they are band members and that we shoudl go see their show in an hour (smashing pumpkins cover band). when we informed them of our financial situation they said "hmmm..... no biggie I'll tell them to let you guys in free." We were all in shock about what just happened but i wasn't really making that many awesome connections or having intense thoughts, an example being if I was on shrooms I would have thought that was a fucking miracle and we were destined to go to the show.
At this point it's been about 4 hours and the trip is full on, no reaal visuals besides some slight breathing and my perspective being mildly distorted. My mouth is numb as fuck for some reason like i got injected with novocaine and I am feeling EXTREMELY uncomfortable not like mentally but physically, as if I have to keep readjusting my seating and still never really get comfortable. I'm not in a very social mood and have a hard time talking anyways with my mouth being in the state it was in. So I just sorta tagged along and didn't really think much about me not talking or even potentially acting strange.
Again it's VERY weird and not actually that enjoyable, I tried to go along for the ride but I would occasionally return to the thought "I'm actually kinda excited for this to end" which should not be how a lsd trip is. Another thing I forgot to mention was the weird stomach feeling I had as I was coming up, not awful but still an annoying effect. So the show ends and me and K are getting along pretty well as we are both on the same level, but not connecting per se like on shrooms, the latter I have read should be the less social of the two.
May I say that no marijuana was smoked during the first 8 hours of the trip so I am 100% certain of the fact that it wasn't placebo but maybe fake? It's nearing the end of the trip now and I do not in any way feel enlightened, feeling more like I might have gotten fucked over. We FINALLLY smoke a bowl and the lame effects like numb mouth, physical uncomfortability, and minor breathing return. Don't get me wrong the trip definately had hallucinogenic properties, one of which being reality seeming altered in a way and things looking different than usual, I didn't experience any geometric patterns, heavy morphing, or increased color contrast.
I finally fell asleep at 6am about 11 hours after taking it. And woke up feeling fairly normal, no awesome afterglow or anything special. My friend K said he liked it a lot, even going as far as to call it "awesome" which I wouldn't necessarily agree with.... but I wanna make sure before I confront him about it possibly being fake, not just empty tabs but a different drug completely like the 5-meo-dmt shit or DOC.
Maybe it was just too low a dose, but I somehow doubt it, if you guys could help me figure this out I would be grateful. thanks
