I was reading on extraction methods for LSA from morning glory seeds and found one that was saying that the undesirable compounds in the seeds are soluble in non polar solvents while the desirable compounds are soluble in polar solvents.
The only non polar solvent that I could get my hands on without arising any suspicions is glacial acetic acid. The only problem is that I wasn't able to find any information regarding the solubility or insolubility of LSA in acetic acid so I'm not sure it will work in the way that I want it to because I don't want to wash off the LSA from the seeds by using it.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me with some information about this.
