So i have been taking 30mg roxi two times a day for exactly a week now and when i take 5 norcos i dont feel anything anymore, i know its because of tolerance..my question is how many days should i take off of opiates to get my tolerance a little lower now?

Completely varies.. you've not been taking them that long, so you could try a week or so off I guess, but for some people tolerance takes a really long time to go down and you'll probably never quite get the initial magic back.. tis glad you've spotted it now and want to do something though, rather than just continually upping your dose :)

Norcos have APAP in them don't they? You must be really careful not to exceed 4000mg or 4g in 24 hours and ideally no more than 1g in one go..if you're going to be having severall in one go often you should really think about doing a cold water extraction on them to save your liver..

Hm. It shoouldn't be if you are going by the 4g in 24 hours but no doctor would (or should at least!) advise taking that much in one go. The whole idea behind safe APAP levels is that your liver manages to process it without becoming overloaded, so 4 x 1g doses 4-6 hours apart is all good, 3250mg in one go may not be. I certainly wouldn't risk it..

Sorry, I don't mean to sound preachy! Just APAP over the recommended limit scares the crap out of me..

1-2 weeks of going without opiates. also, an NMDA antagonist such as DXM (DXO) will go a long way

Um... No... It takes at least a week for any appreciative amount of euphoria from doses slightly lower than your tolerance. Otherwise, You can pop away and not feel a damn thing if you don't exceed a certain dose.

don't listen to the last poster, he/she is oblivious. all bodies are different and i think three days would do you pretty good like a previous poster had said. If that doesn't do anything than give it a couple more days. very nice to see a user who has some control and pays attention to their usage. Stay in that mindset and you shouldn't have as hard of a road as some people do.

at the very least 3 days you will see a noticeable difference.

You really think so? Because I can tell you that I have never noticed any appreciable difference in my tolerance after abstaining for three days.

I would say a week minimum without, but if it were me, I would probably take two weeks just to be certain; nothing is worse than taking that first, long-anticipated dose after abstaining for some time only to find that it didn't rock you nearly as much as you thought it would.

No receptors return to baseline this fast. You are the one who is oblivious.

verso and myself included are the only ones who are making any sense here in this thread.

In fact, my own experience is that two weeks does the trick much better than one, and the difference is enough to make the wait worth it. Not only that, the practice of going half the month without guarantees no serious addiction/WD issues. Three days? No. A week? You'll get a rush, but likely not quite what you're hoping for. I agree with the above posters recommending one week, but I submit to you that two weeks is the best practice in the end, because this dosing schedule will be very very effective at preventing any significant increase in tolerance over a long period of time. Best of luck.
