LOW dose phenylethylamine for social phobia

Stimulants increase focus and stamina. They definitely don't take away anxiety.

mmm...I think that pre-crash, stimulants can attenuate specifically social anxiety...or the type of paralytic anxiety that leads to procrastination (yes, there's got to be a relevant cognition-behavior loop here). Still, highly inappropriate for routine use, let alone 'treatment' as an anxiolytic.

CBT, as in carbomethoxy-bromophenyl-tropane?

No, cock and ball torture.

do you mean, that using 2.5 mg selegiline 2-3 weekly + regularly, daily, small, doses of PEA are totally ineffective for social phobia ?

tramadol works better than anything else i've tried for social axiety (definitely better than benzos and less disruptive than stimulants). puts me in a fantastic mood, relaxed and comfortable to engage at will (ie no push like with stims or empathogens etc). dispels any fear of failure or rejection without the sloppiness/aggression that comes with benzos or alcohol. the side effects of the high are minimal, making it easier to function on than typical opioids.

however - tolerance builds quickly if you take it on a daily basis and it's hard to get off it after a month or so. and after that first month, it becomes virtually useless.

but on an as-needed basis, i think its a viable option for someone self medicating. i would be really interested in trying pregabalin. seen quite a few people on here praising it.

No--it should be effective for that roughly 1 hr. period each day where you feel intoxicated by a stimulant, prior to tolerance setting in. It's just that you can do better pharmacologically, and then one can do better with cognitive behavioral therapy than with drugs.
