All too little
All too late
I reached to stop
The hand of fate
The fickle turn
Of fortune's favour
Brought to me
A love worth labour
In resplendant fields
Love's roses bloomed
The more I toiled
The more they grew
Flower's petals
Razor thorns
Twisted together
Hearts were torn
A sickle drawn
From sheath in vain
I cut love down
To ease it's pain
Then all at once
I suddenly knew
That love and pain
At once are true

This poem is superb!
Unfortunatly it seems I am able to post less and less these days . . . thus when I do find time to make one, goddamnit, I mean it!
