It was one of those nights...
Not even the crickets were chirping.
Sky as clear as an ocean that has been untouched for years; centuries.
I was walking down my street,
My normal nightly routine.
Smokes in my shirt pocket, Towel around my shoulder, and keys in my back pocket.
Street lights lighten the way to the spa,
Streets looking so lonely in the midnight aire, So longing for a pedestrian to walk on it.
Every night for the last few weeks...same old thing. Sit in the spa for twenty minutes, get out, smoke, then go home...alone.
Tired of the same old thing,
I craved difference.
It only took a millisecond to notice her.
She was the only one there, so It wasnt like she was hard to miss.
But it wasnt her presence I noticed first...it was her spirit that I sensed.
Alone she was, In the corner next to the bubble jet.
I just looked at her,
And she didnt even notice me.
Long hair that dissapeared into the bubbling waters,
Skin that was the lightest brown possible.
Eyes that only saw what she wanted...and never anything else.
I didnt know what to do.
I reached into my shirt pocket and pulled out a Camel Turkish Gold (soft-pack).
Cigerretes tasted like shit,
But I always seemed to have a pack on me.
I was so afraid smoking would offend her beauty,
Like it would disrupt this flow of life, this force that was so delicate that even a slight whisper would send her away.
Never before has such beauty presented itself like this. Her body, her mind, her soul, her style.
Still un-noticed, I decided that I didnt want to be noticed.
I didnt want to spoil her style,
To put a stop on her evolution of beauty.
Slowly she got up from the water,
Dripping all over her body like salmon swimming through a stream.
How jealous I was of the water,
How jealous I was of anyone else that saw her for a minute.
As she picked up her towel and walked towards the gate, She turned to me and smiled. A smile that has been imprinted into my brain like a camera, a smile that knew we would meet again...so very soon.
It was an invitation...a letter to come tomorrow so we can advance on our love.
That whole night I didnt utter a single word. I didnt even write a single character. For I knew my love for the girl I never spoken to is something that should never be discussed, only praised.
