you start to freeze
hands are shaking
lips start to tremble
paranoia and fear
of the unknown starts
to take hold
all you can do then is
stare blankly into the distance
ignoring everything that's good
BUT!!!
warmth comes through to you
in the form of friends
who encourage, listen, hug and love
brushing aside your fears
not dismissing them but
instead giving you
a whole new perspective to
look at your life
you realise you've been 'frozen'
because you fear the future
you fear the unknown and
therefore afraid to change
because you don't know
what will happen
but that won't happen anymore
you're taking hold of your fear
you're moving on
you're taking the wheel
and steering yourself
out of the doldrums
and into an uncertain
but cheery future
