The last six months have been really hard. In that time span, I have been diagnosed with HIV and today I just lost the only job that brought me joy. I am seriously thinking about suicide. I wanted to ask anybody who lost someone to suicide this: How long did you guys grieve? Do you ever get over it? I do have family(mother, father, son, brother,sister) and I just wanted to know how loved ones react to the lost of a family member. I don't want to bring them any pain, but I am in a lot of pain.
 
I have a friend that had his girlfriend commit suicide and he has never been the same sense. Imagine the pain your going through now but, amplififed to everyone in your family. I'm so very sorry to hear shit isn't going well but it doesn't mean this is the end. I think you know deep down that your family cares about you. Plus you sound like a caring person yourself so you don't want to hurt anyone you care about. Suicide can make family members feel so hopeless and lost that in turn they too feel as depressed or low as you did before you took your life. Please don't think about killing yourself anymore these thoughts start to become really scary and much more frequent the more it's on your mind.

Although I haven't personally lost someone to suicide I can tell you my friend never recovered from it, he still thinks about her everyday, and would do anything to spend just one more hour with her. People care about you friend and people here on BL/TDS will be more than happy to talk to you about anything your going through. I know good hearted people are the only reason I'm still here today. Keep in touch and keep your head up life will get better if you try...
 
I have lost people to suicide and i can't really describe the feeling you have after. The worst part is that you beat yourself up about not noticing the signs when you should have. You go over and over the shit in your head but you never figure it out and your still left wondering why.

Please man don't off yourself. HIV is not the total death sentence it was years ago and many people live very long lives with it.
