Lost my creativity

I've been wanting to write something for weeks now... a short story, even a poem, but I just can't seem to do it. There's a thick fog in my mind, blocking out all the ideas floating around. Nothing I do can make the fog disappear. I hate this. :|

I've been there myself. Some times what helps me is just sitting there with a pen and paper writing random thoughts that pop into my head.

I always find wen I write a poem (thats how I express myself, as u well know hun ;)) I hav to b in an extreme mood of some kind - extremely happy/euphoric (ie. on P...j/k...sort of), or depressed, angry, scared, bitter

drugs help - I'll b honest there - I get a lot of creativity from P especially, but also from psychedelics, and even marijuana can b inspiring
just dont ever (my advice) get really high (like...off ur tits) and write THEN; wait till uve come down a bit or r on a low dose of watever uve taken

if u dont feel creative, hun, it actually isnt the end of the world - u dont hav to b flowing wiv creativity all the time
creativity is something u cant force
it comes to u wen u least expect it

uve read my book of poetry - u can tell which ones I wrote wen I felt I had to write!
u can also tell the ones that came to me cos of intense moods I was in or drugs I was on

it can b a great outlet to depression
cos ur depression is crippling, u nd to get it before it gets to the immobilising stage, and write a poem then - ull find itll just flow
and itll b cathartic too

luv u hunny-bun <3

^ Yeah, you're right. Creativity tends to appear on its own... it can't be forced. Maybe I just need to wait for the inspiration to hit me. Unfortunately when I'm depressed I totally lose my motivation... I struggle to even pick up a pen. But luckily my depression has gone now, so hopefully my creativity will return soon. Wub you. <3

Have you considered the alternative to pharms by seriously considering a change of diet and exercise, as well as, taking vitamin supplements? I have found the aforementioned to be far more helpful for long-term creativity than the short-lived, half-forgotten blips of creativity that drugs seem to offer. Just a thought... If you take this advice, do make it a regime. You can not expect immediate results, but overall you will see vast improvements in several areas of your life (including creativity).
