Loperimide blocking traditional opiates?! Help!

Hello I have some questions for others who may (very unfortunately) be familiar with loperimide dependence. I do not wish to argue the legitimacy of the usefulness of loperimide recreationally, the biophysics involved there of and would like to uninvite gawking naysayers to contribute to this post. With that said, like so many others I at first used loperimide to ease the symptoms of opiate withdrawal to surprising effectiveness. I nearly immediately began abusing loperimide and within a week had developed a daily habit of 98mgs. Fast forward 4 months I am up to 144mgs daily. I have noticed, with despair, that I now have an inability to achieve any grand mental or physical effects from consuming any amount of traditional fast acting opiates (hydrocodone). I only want to know if anyone has ever successfully transferred from high dose loperimide back to traditional opiates? If so, how long did it take? Ive been using hydrocodone to combat the symptoms of loperimide withdrawal with moderate success for 60 hours but am running low. The only reason I stopped talking codone to begin with was because my connect took a 3 month hiatus. Now that the I can acquire them once again, I want to cut lopes out entirely and go back to the good stuff. Anyone done this before? Experienced input is greatly appreciated. I am SO hopeful that one of you guys has " been there done that" and have good news for me!

Also I apologize if this post was made to the wrong area :/ I'm brand spanking new and have been desperately combing countless forums and websites for an answer to no avail :( literally 12+ hours of searching later and still no clear answer so here I am! I can't be the first person in these shoes and hope that this post serves others ahead of me desperate for the same answers

hey lopadope, welcome to bluelight.

i am going to move your post over to basic drug discussion so that way you can hopefully get some helpful replies there :)

moving NMI > BDD

Lopadope can I ask you to describe the feeling you get from loperamide? Is it similar to traditional opioids or more subdued? I'm curious because there seems to be a small number of people who achieve a genuine high from this drug, perhaps due to them having an enzyme that most people don't, or due to some other medical condition.

I too have become reliant on Loperamide when I cannot find my evil bitch: heroin. I take about 40mg to stabilize myself and sometimes I get the same feeling you do. If I take my lope then some how I am able to get heroin later I feel as if the Lope may be blocking the heroin (much like methadone does) but with Lope it only makes me feel about 80-90% better and if I do H on top of it I feel 100% and sometimes I'll nod out but usually only when I'm at the point of nausea (I smoke heroin since I can't find any needles out here in AZ)

I will say there is a "High" to Loperamide but it isn't anything to write home about or even try to achieve. It sucks to be quite honest. It leaves me feeling sluggish and lazy. NO euphoria or elevated mood. Personally, I hate taking cimetidine and loperamide all the time, makes me feel dirty but it keeps away the withdrawals....

I use loperimide every day and although I do not get a euphoric high from it . It gets me 100% well, after 10 years heroin and 3 years on 120 Mgs of methadone I switched to loperimide 150mgs plus pepper and tonic water . I garrentee its not a placebo effect .
we don't have an enzyme that you dont . We just know how to inhibit the enzyme that blocks loperimide. The enzyme P-glyco protein is inhibited by pepperine in black pepper, ppl drugs and quinidine , I use quinine.the feeling is complete relief from the withdrawls , I am very sick every morn , take my dose and couple hours later I'm fine .no euphoria but slight comforting buzz, cotton mouth is bad and stuffy nose.i actually tried to switch to subs from lope and 3.5 subs in 4 hours
I was still hurting bad , used to take a quarter sub , scared of what lope is doing to me

It also makes me feel lazy , graugy and Heavy muscles.hate it but switched to 150 Mgs lope a day from 120 Mgs methadone and I'm not sick. I switched cuz I get lope for free(five finger) . at first it got me about 95% well ( I was still out of energy) but now it's a 100%. Still hate it though. If I use it blocks which I don't mind.

I tried to switch to suboxone from lope and it did not work at all . 3.5 subs and still very sick but if I do heroin when I'm sick I get high as hell. Lope blocks anything I try to us on it. either your tolerance has greatly increased or you are still on the lope when you take hydros.if not take more or try something stronger
