Loperamide withdrawls

so i have been on lope for anout 7 years and my gastro dr informed me that it was causing me too have a fatty liver and i had read that it slows your liver down...right now im off the lope for about 16 days now and i have crazy diarhea...can anyone help me with this..how long the lope withdrawls last..p.s..i know this is a little graphic but there is bile in the d and it has irritated everything under the sun..just wondering if thats normal too...

 

Hi independentvice, hope you're ok and your symptoms soon subside, lope as i'm sure you know helps with withdrawal as it's meant to prevented the diarrhea, chances are that it's your body reacting to the lack of it, i'd get yourself back to your Doc to get some advice, in the mean time check out this address you may find it useful, take care and stay safe.

While not wanting to advise someone to have their body trade one dependency for the other. Have you tried taking a small amount of opiates just like a hyrdo 10/325 or something. Lope is after all a form of opiate and this may give you a little relief with those receptors located in the stomach but I am not sure if it will help or just prolong your withdraw. I know I use Lope for opiate withdraw so this could be bad advice and probably not the best thing for your liver. Just a suggestion but in hindsight maybe not such a good one.
