Well, my username should say it all.
I fear that with the manner in which the healthcare system is melting down here, it will likely be 2-3 years at maximum before I no longer have access to the current (high priced) immunomodulator I am on for Crohn's.

I am not an "illicit drug user" but desperate times breed desperate measures. I will be a mirror of the ideals expressed here, inasmuch as neither condemning or condoning drug use.

My primary purpose in being here is to educate myself in the areas of opioid derivation and to hopefully learn how to extract the appropriate antispasmodic alkaloids from the deadly nightshade plant.

I also need advice on better maintenance of privacy/security, as I learned this site does not play well with IE Inprivate browsing.

I am an RN, so I do have some background. So, when possible I will do the quid pro quo thing.

TY and God Bless,

You poor soul

Chrons is nothing anyone should suffer from

If there's anything you can do - including moving to a different country... Please keep on the meds that work for you.

God bless you, and I personally am sorry for the suffering you're going trough. <3

Welcome to BL

Welcome to the forums! So sorry to hear about your condition and what you must be dealing with. I simply can't imagine. Hang in there and I think I speak collectively for everyone on BL by saying we're all here for ya!

Like Captain said, keep doing everything you can! In my thoughts and prayers my friend...

TY!
Yep, a US dude here.
Just part of life; I know many worse off than I!
Thanks all for the warm welcome!

TY Captain!
I see myself as Blessed in spite of Crohn's. Being a 20+ year RN has afforded me the opportunity to see countless others in far worse shape than me.
Relative to what I was over 10 years ago, I really am just existing. Mere existence is not my style. I FINALLY have surgery scheduled in the next few weeks to remove some of the more diseased portions of the small intestine in hopes of getting me some major symptomatic relief. I'm not goofy enough to think this to be a cure. The basic immunological process of the causation of Crohn's will still be there. So, I will likely remain on Humira forever, or until Obozocare decides my life isn't worth 4k/month for the cost of the drug.
Keep me in your prayers, and know I take prayer requests also!
Sincerely and God Bless,
CP
