Ive had 5 open heart surgeries in the last 17years. I now need a transplant. I had a surgery go bad, 16 hours & they had to put a balloon pump into my femoral artery to save me. It partially severed the nerve bundles that go to my legs and feet. I now have permanent severe neuropathy (pain is unreal!).
I think oral pain meds shouldn't be bulked together with heroin & fentanyl. Those fake numbers are used to make real pain patients look like junkies! I dont crush, snort or inject but I have to pay the price for those who do & die??? Uhhhh NO

Hi Andihav - Welcome to Bluelight :)

I'm sorry you had to go through all those surgeries, but glad that you're with us today. And in regards to the epidemic, i'm not quite sure what to say, but we have a large opioid crowed here at Bluelight, and probably a good amount of opioid addicts. I don't think they were cramping your style on purpose ;) But I understand where you're coming from and wish the epidemic didn't have such an effect on you and your treatment. I know, it sucks.

I see that you've already jumped right in and started posting around the forums - nice!!

See you around,

Wow, that's a lot of stress to deal with. I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. I'm a Godly person. You might not be and I totally respect that but if you don't mind I'm gonna say a prayer for you after I finish typing this. I pray that God heals you. You are an amazing inspiration and I pray that a heart comes your way VERY fast. You take care of yourself and God bless you girl... Please hang in there. Also, welcome to Bluelight!

Hey lady, there's definitely a lot of people like you who are unfairly getting their pain meds restricted or discontinued due to the current climate. All I can suggest to you is to get referrals to specialists who are familiar with your type of pain. Hopefully they will be more able to see your genuine need and/or more willing to prescribe what you need. Just keep trying. I wish I had better advice, I know it's not fair. Speaking of fairness, the real blame for this crisis lies with drug companies and regulators. Good luck.
