I seem to have this problem where my nose is running a lot (not all the time), even without and a cold/flu and completely healthy. I have hay fever, but I know that isn't it.

Would it be something to do with being "bunged up"?

^^My dad had a similar problem and had to get some sort of operation for it.

Andy.

do u snort drugs? i know for myself after i blew H, blow, pills my nose would b fucked up for days after. also smokings ciigs makes my nose runny sometimes. anyways i stopped using drugs and have drastically cut back on cigs (3-4 a days compared to 2 packs a day)
and i still get a clogged/runny nose but now i think its alergies which i never had before i started using drugs heavily... so thats my thoughts on a perma-fucked up nose

I have no idea if this is the case but you could have an allergy to something you eat that is causing it. I'm not saying this is the same for you but I can't tolerate dairy food very well and whenever I eat too much of it my nose starts to get clogged up. Also when I used to use some whey protein powders my nose used to run like a tap. Took me a while to figure out what was going on.

So I'm just saying there might be a dietary solution for you.

How long has this been happening? When you blow your nose is the snot clear or yellow? From what you described I would also say its allergies. I've got seasonal allergies and that's what I deal with a lot. However it could be something else also.

I suggest maybe taking an anti-histamine to see if it helps. I prefer claritin or zyrtec since they don't make me drowsy. If that doesn't completely work then you'll probably have to go to the doc and if it is allergies then they'll refer you to the specialist(forgot the technical name). Then you get to have fun with the allergy shots.

Maybe you have allergies? I have this and I just use saline nasal spray.

I also sometimes take pseudo-ephedrine.

I know I do have allergies such as being allergic to cats and dogs, not sure about other animals though. When I blow my nose the snot is clear and definitely not yellow. I haven't snorted a lot of drugs and I don't smoke either.

This has been happening for a pretty long time, months and months. And I don't know about my diet, I suppose it could be, I often drink milk and also eat a lot of cereal.

@deadricbloodgod, these meds you take (claritin or zyrtec), can you just buy them at pharmacies or are they prescribed?

By the looks from most of your comments, this is probably due to an unkown allergy that I may have.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The Claritin(loratadine) and zyrtec(cetirizine) should be just regular shelf items. However I'm in the US so your situation may be different but they're just anti-histamines, I don't see why they would controlled in any way.

The anti-histamine + pseudoephedrine combos (ex. Claritin-D) also work very well. However if you're on any medication that can raise blood pressure then its not suggested to take this then.

As for other meds. The saline nasal solution works decently along with those vicks inhalers(idk if this is available in UK).

I'm not suggesting to do all of these at once but just giving options. If you still have a runny nose after a week then I would suggest the doctor. And unless you do some trial and error you probably won't be sure what you're allergic to. I actually believed I was allergic to mold and cats but it turned out I was just allergic to most plants and trees(lucky me :( ).

Good luck.

Echinaccea purpurea tincture helped me, and yes - washing your nose with salted water - EVVERY DAY.
Look for instructions on the net , the amount of salt is half of a teaspoon for the cup of water.

Have you ever been addicted to GHB, Benzos, Lyrica/Gabapentin or Phenibut?
