hey everyone
i've been drinking heavily (rough estimate, maybe slightly less than half a litre of spirits nightly) and taking 10-15mg of valium more or less every day, but now i've been forced to stop drinking. i've been doing this since about the beginning of last december with a few patches of sobriety in between but it's more or less been consistent.
is this amount of drinking enough to cause serious alcohol withdrawal (mostly concerned about seizures, i have epilepsy)? i understand valium is cross tolerant with alcohol, so i'm assuming my current dose of valium won't be enough to curtail these symptoms. it's been a day since my last drink and the only thing i've noticed is insomnia (obviously), severe hand tremors (which is what the valium was prescribed for initially anyway) and occasionally pins and needles in my face, which is something i've only experienced one other time and that was after a meth binge.
any ideas on what to expect? i can't really go to a doctor about this
