Long term effects of E use

I notice that sometimes I give up on intellectual tasks too easily. I do not follow a thought to the end of it's logical conclusion, if it gets too complicated. I used to be quite a smark cookie....and I can feel myself lagging just a bit now.

i think ecstasy makes us be a little more carefree with things...at least for me. I used to do things on time and earlier, but I tend to push things to the deadline or when a complicated issue arises, I don't try too hard to deeply think about the subject...I guess you could say I brush it off sometimes... "everything is gonna be alright." even though it might not be some of the time. Sometimes it's not a bad thing though.

The long term effects of mdma on the body and brain are still largely unknown and debated by scientists. Recent experiments have indicated that persistent use of mdma in very high doses may cause the synaptic terminals of seratonin neurons to be damaged. These experiments suggest that the metabolic breakdown of mdma includes the formation of ROS(reactive oxygen species), which are chemicals known to cause oxidative cell damage when taken into the releasing synapse. This has been demonstrated in the brains of rats(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/e...uids=16541247&query_hl=1&itool=pubmed_docsum).
There are also reports of mdma causing HPPD(hallucinogen persisting perception disorder), sometimes permanent.

Hopefully you won't encounter this:
