Londoners Fined For Marijuana Possession Are Tearing Up Their Tickets

Thats hilarious, hopefully they don't face more serious ramifications for refusing to pay the fines and they just go uncollected.

One negative that could come out of it is a decision to go harder on the cannabis laws because cannabis users have demonstrated an unwillingness to comply with the current ones.

No, his initial assessment of Arkansas was correct. Also, Cali is more expensive because it is superior and everyone wants to move here even when we are broke.

Please don't move to Cali coastal cities. We have no more room.

there's something funny about this (something about cannabis users and willingness to comply with the law)

The people of London should tell all their friends' friends to boycott the cannabis fine. The corrections system will be so tripped up on their own shoelaces they won't know which way is up. If only they could take the hint.

Yeah we have it pretty easy with weed here, the government only put it back up to class B from class C to make the prime minister look good before the election. A government-commisioned study found cannabis to be less harmful than all other drugs yet they ignored it and put it up for political reasons. The police couldn't give a shit about weed, they know its not harming anyone and they would much rather go after real criminals. That's why the three strike thing was put in, to make it more leniant than all the other drugs of class B.

Our drug laws are rather good here compared to a lot of other countries, if its a first offence one can normally get away with it even with the harder stuff.
