Just come across some herion in 'rock' form... very very hard and almost shiney in appearance, it smells the good's and smokes as you'd expect. It disolves in vinegar, but needs heat and takes takes a minute.
Is this what is known as 'tar' herion'? (up until now i'd only ever seen herion in its light brown crumbly powder form)
Getting to the point... i am just wondering if herion of this type any less safe to inject than the usual 'crumbly powder form'... or should it be smoked only? (I mean, is tar h more likely to contain shit that when disolved in vinegar you don't want to stick in yer vein??)

No it is not tar, and that is a good thing, tar sucks man. No its not safe to IV it because it isn't safe to IV any heroin because it is by no means steril, but that has never stoped me before.

In Australia all we get is rock.I've never had to use heat,though on the REALLY hard rocks i let them soak for a minute or two before mixing.
Like someone above said it's never really safe to inject H.If it doesn't mix up clear within 2 minutes with no heat i throw it away and assume i've been ripped 8)

mashedpotatohead - i came across some H once that was very dark brown (almost black) and was pretty moist - it wasnt soft at all but it would slice a beauty... my guess is that what you've come across is just that, only that its older, the water has evaporated, and consequentyl its become rock hard (just like a piece of mine did when i kept it stashed for a few weeks)...
...and because i snorted it through a nasal-spray bottle (i had to, since it was simply impossible to powder this stuff, wether moist or dried out), i know also that it took ages for even a fairly small rock to dissolve...
...though i dont inject, as far as i know other people buying that same stuff did, so my guess is you're in safe ground

dont you find that a little expensive mate? just filter out any un-dissolved shite with a ciggie filter (though other, more knowledgeable, members of this boeard say its unwise to use these, and better to use cotton wool i believe)...

...no, you can use citric acid (the synthetic one in powder form, not from lemon juice)... as far as chemistry goes, you could use absolutely any acidic substance you want... anything to cancel out the alkalinity (sp?) of brown H...
