logical?

Logic is independent of emotions. Thinking rationally is great and all, but trying to control or suppress emotions is generally a recipe for bad times. That said, it is sometimes wise to keep from expressing one's emotions at certain times. Not to deny them, but rather for the sake of prevention of social awkwardness or so on.

If I broke down and cried every time that I felt like it, I wouldn't likely be employed right now.

yep i hear you but sometimes all i feel like doing is whining and talking to people who could honestly give a shit less is all i can do to prevent lashing out and hurting people i care about. if i dont express it depression becomes anger and my anger can be perpetual. i say logic dictates emotion because it does even when trying to be logical i find my emotions are always underneath. maybe i do wine alot or exaggerate but if you knew me then read my blogs you would think it was 2 different people. i dont ever express feelings in public for fear of someone actually trying to help.

I can't for the life of me remember who said it, but someone once said: "Depression is anger without enthusiasm'. I couldn't agree more.

We are emotional beings, and we deny that at our peril. Logic and rationality have their uses, but our emotions do as well.
