Local Anesthesia and tripping safe ?

Hello,

Two days ago I had a local anesthesia for a small surgery for an abdominal infection. I was wondering if it would be safe to trip today on some Phenethylamines like 2C-D or 2C-E.

Is there any interaction between the two ? I would assume that the anesthesia should be out of my system now but anyway... better be safe than sorry :)

I would say no, not because of the local anaesthesia but because of the infection. Avoid psychs while your immune system is trying to resolve that.
 
Hmm I think 2C compounds in particular can have some interaction with the immune system. Don't know much about it really, but something like 2C-B can maybe 'throw it off' and activate or disactivate it inappropriately. I thought this was the reason why some people can have mucus buildup with them?

Was the infection superficial? What kind of surgery are we talking about, regarding the wound that needs to heal - or is it very inconspicuous? In the worst case, messing with your immune system can weaken it and that is obviously no good when your body is recovering from an 'invasion'.
I think Foreigner is suggesting that there might be residual pathogens from the infection and it would take a little time to presume that all is clear. I guess answering my questions about the surgery wouldn't help with that matter.

Basically I don't really have any idea how significant this can be, the risk is very hard to evaluate... the point would be that you might not want to risk anything at all to be sure.
 
Well I had a very small abscess. They take it off and I have 4 stitches now. I don't need any meds for this, I just need to wait for the stitches to fall down and replace the small bandage every 2 days.

What do you think ? I feel physically good so :)

I forget to mention that I snort a small line of Methoxetamine (10mg) a night ago and felt fine.

Well I don't want anyone to tell me to take things but I just want to have an opinion about the health effects that can outcome from this decision.

imo there should be no interaction between the anesthetic and the psychedelic after this time.
wether or not this will impact your immune system... i guess the answer would be noone really knows.

I just know for myself that if I trip while I have a sore throat, the next day it's way worse. Tripping takes a lot of energy for me, but maybe your body is different. If I was healing from abscess surgery, I would not do it... but you know your own body better than I do.

It wouldn't... I'm just more concerned about post-op healing and the drain on the body's resources that a trip can sometimes cause in some people.
 
No not at all, we pointed to this already: interference with healing. So if you don't heal well that could mean getting infected again... who knows. There would have to be something left on/in your abdomen for that to happen though. Another thing is the stitches not healing as nicely, again who knows... generally you get the least scars and stuff if you are healthy and tripping could destabilize you physically and make you "weak" if only because of the energy that is spent.
If you still want to proceed, maybe just don't dose high - if you keep it modest, and if the wound is a minor thing from what you are feeling, I think it might be overcautious to abort... it would be farfetched to consider yourself immuno-compromised from a trip but hey, it is only after something unexpected happens that you realize: maybe the timing was not absolutely ideal.
 
I have this, Hidradenitis suppurativa, in my armpits. Look that shit up. They are always infected and instead of doing surgery all the time I vodka that shit and bleed it out till im in too much pain. And I use recreationally (trips and e). It has never created a serious infection or caused it to severely flare up. If you aren't on anti biotics I think you are fairly safe. Don't rip the stitches though!!!

Also I don't know the difference in severity of your infection and mine. But if you weren't prescribed anti biotics, abscesses are safe as long as they are dealt with (-= *whips out the vodka*
 
If it's a cosmetic/small surgery that doesn't bother you in your normal daily life, you will probably be able to trip just fine.
The local anethesia should have worn off some hours after the surgery - anesthetic drugs are usually metabolised pretty rapidly.

The only risks I can think of are stressing your body and mind with a psychedelic while you are trying to heal (worst case, your wound takes longer to heal), or having it bother you on your trip.
Ask yourself this: would you feel comfortable tripping with your arm in a cast? If it wouldn't bother you, you should be just fine. It's unlikely the psychedelics will do anything acute to worsen the situation.

The safest option is still to wait until you are fully healed.

Finally I followed all your advices and I didn't take anything. You are right, it's a wise decision to be fully healed before :)

I just smoke weed but it's a habit so... I smoke weed everyday for some years.
