Would using my Vyvanse 50 mg prescription in about a week once a month cause liver issues?

I have kinda been using my ADHD script like that for 2-3 years.

I don’t drink much. Now I don’t drink at all.

My liver tests last time were high so I have an appointment to see a liver specialist in about a month.

Would my drug use cause this? I don’t think I use that much…

hmmmm

My liver values were not right a few years back. I was on Vyvanse. But also some PEDs.

So could be.
I am on WeGovy now and that makes Vyvanse act different and some people on it report it has anti-addition effects.

Which is good I guess because I want to use my Vyvanse at the dose I normally do, but I ALSO do not. So I am not for tonight.

This would not be the case if I were not on WeGovy.

Get the most comprehensive test you can if affordable is my advice.
Had some unrelated issues that turned out to be effecting some medication efficacy. Found I had chronic hep c for decades and didn't know it even though I had many liver tests. Was treated by gastroenterologist and a lot has cleared up. Haven't had active hep c viral load in about 6 months so it's dead. Liver functions normal (go figure I abused the hell out of it).
Just saying. ;)

High in what regard may I ask. This is very vague and I do quote a gastroenterologist. And it is. This could mean many things but does not point to what is "abnormal" which a Dr should be in the know of before beginning diagnostics. My opinion.

I will type up what the tests were when I get the chance!

Liver enzymes can mean lot's Of different things, I wouldn't suspect it had anything to do with the Vyvance(tho I'm not a doctor). I'd suggest maybe getting tested for hepatitis and liver cancer. Try reaching out to a gastroenterologist and schedule an ultrasound of your liver, if they ask why just tell them you'd like to know whats the shape of your liver(as in health).
If nothing comes back from those tests then it's nothing to be worried about. Even if the tests come back positive, there's still tons of different things you can do and take to improve liver functions.
I had something similar with being hepC +, and got treated for it and now the virus is gone. Pretty amazing at what all is out there medicine wise.
Take care❤️

May I ask what your markers were? I just got a blood test and my ALT was over 400 (healthy range is under 40). I am on Vyvanse, Suboxone and was using oral (anavar) and injectable PEDs. Plus I had a night of binge drinking and cocaine (which I rarely do). ALT enzyme markers at that level is enough to cause pretty serious liver damage and its freaking me out a bit as im a hyperchondriac. I dont think Vyvanse alone would cause issues to your liver to a point where you would need to see a specialist. I do know once you have a bad reading for liver enzymes you should cut out any toxins that would stress the liver further. Of course you should make any decision based off your doctors advice.

I have to get myself to type them up.

However, I did see the Liver Specialist this week and he said it was likely Fatty Liver.

He said I am doing the right thing by going on WeGovy and losing the weight I gained from being in Invega Trinza.

I had more blood tests at the appointment and all of them came out normal.

Now I have to have imaging of my Livef done to see if there is any scarring. Nervous for that tbh.
