Hey guys Im a little concerned about myself. In march I took 9 piperazine pills in one day stupid decision i know. But what worries me was in april I went to get bloodwork for my pdoc and it showed that my liver enzyme levels were a little high like 1 or 2 points above normal, nothing to major my doc said. I also take lamictal, invega, and lithium and I also am over weight (228lbs 5'7). Do you guys think the heavy dose of piperazine is the culprit? Could it be the lithium, my pdoc tells me its not since the lithium is metabolized in the kidney, but ive read a report online of elevated liver enzyme levels due to lithium? The reason im so concerned is because I want to start on nardil again, a drug that has been so effective in treating the anxiety issues I have, and my doc is hesitant to do so because of the heightened liver enzyme levels since nardil happens to be metabolized in the liver. She sais she doesnt want to put any extra strain on it but is it really a big deal? I was on nardil for over a year doing great and all my liver tests at the time came out normal. Im just wondering guys do you think the piperazine is the cause of this? If so I hope its just a temperary thing but Im keepin my head up. Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There are many things that could have caused slightly elevated liver enzyme levels. In fact, the Mayo Clinic lists over 20 different causes of elevated liver enzyme levels. Obesity is one of them (no offense intended by that statement). Read this: Elevated Liver Enzymes and follow up with your doctor.
