i have done extensive searching and come up with absolutely nothing on lithium chelate. i figure i may as well ask here to see if someone may know if it is actually something worth trying for bipolar II and can provide a possible side-effect profile...

I know that lithium citrate, used in rxs, has all sorts of side-effects

The reason i ask is because i just received the lithinase for mania and anxiety.. so i would really like to start taking it; assuming it is reasonably safe and active in this chelated form

if it would help, i can provide a link to the specific product i have. i just wasn't sure about the rules on this, since it's technically a legal drug but it isn't OTC

peace

Lithium is incredibly dangerous if you're not having regular blood tests. It's incredibly easy to go over into toxic levels and die without getting levels done regularly.

I kind of doubt having the lithium protein bound has any effect on bioavailability, aside from maybe reducing it... If it was bound to protein the dose would also be enormous because the protein would weigh so much more. Sounds like a marketing gimmick for a placebo.

each pill contains 50mcg lithium (as lithium amino acid chelate), and it says to take one daily. assuming this stuff has any effect, would this dose be much too low for such or could i up the dose, and if so by how much?

thanks

all right well i took 200mcg an hour ago starting to feel chill but it could be placebo

Lithium will fuck your kidneys like nothing else if you take a little too much (doc tried to get me to go to psychiatrist for my mild manic depression & get lithium prescribed, but I told him I like my kidneys too much to mess with that). It's probably because it's in the same group as sodium & potassium that it buggers nerver conduction (possibly via Na+/K+ ATP ase which is responsible for nerve transmission). There are much better options out there, honestly!

i've tried just about everything, from health-nutrition-drugs-exercise-therapy,etc- so if this doesn't work probably nothing will

i took 400mcg more and i'm feeling really tired but level, there's no anxiety as usual, a little blunted but definitely fine. i read that taking these very low doses could be all right and beneficial, but i do wonder at what level one begins to become immune/tolerant and how quickly.. like since i took 600mcg tonite, does that mean i'll need the same amount tomorrow to get effects?

well it definitely has an effect. i feel rather shitty today- heavy body load. i also slept 4hrs and am no longer tired but a bit groggy.

i had some strange yet wonderful lucid dreams too, which is indeed unusual as i haven't even remembered recalling a dream in about 5 months

idk if i should continue taking this stuff. i think i will take less today and see how it goes

I very much doubt less than a mg of lithium is going to do anything at all.

buy placebamine.Hcl pills they are much cheaper.

edit i was wrong, what you need is dilithium crystals.
