So my friends cat just had surgery and was sent home with liquid bupe 0.3/mg/ml. Clear liquid. Now he wants to know if he can take some bupe when on methadone. Will it get him sick since there's no nalaxone in it?

OP you can edit your posts, saves making three. Also we do not use SWIM, my pet cat etc - we all know its you.

Actually, I think he's literally talking about a cat... buprenex is commonly used post surgical for pain for cats... and no, just because it has no nalaxone, please just give it to the cat, if you're on methadone you're in a world of hurt of you try it

No, you don't want to do that. Bupe has higher affinity for your opioid receptors than Methadone does. Taking Bupe, in doses as low as .3 will likely just make you uncomfortable instead of sending you into a full on precipitated withdrawal. Higher doses will do nothing but send you into a PWD.
