first off, tupac was not over rated.

second, i dont think that gun permit carries over. I live in NY and a permit isnt good from county to county, let alone state to state, but NY has some pretty strict laws compared to down south.

Dude this is ridiculous. Rappers were rapping about x-pills before eminem even knew the fuck ecstacy was. I have some Screw shit from like '92 or something ridiculous long ago like that, and they're talking about pills in that.

Trust me, most rappers aren't trying to be like eminem. The seeds of current rap music were sowed LONG LONG ago, and most of the themes have changed very, very little since then. Eminem was pretty original when he first came out, I'll give you that, but he didn't "invent" talking about ecstacy in rap, and rappers don't take it to try to be like him hahaha. The ecstacy trade has been a theme in rap since raps existed.

i dont know if he does ecstasy but i know he use to be a big heroin user...

probably still is.....i also heard he doesnt even write his rhymes..he just parties all night while some one else writes his shit...
 
why am i not surprised that the IQ level displayed in this thread is decidedly sub-par?

Anyway, as to the topic, I think that it is a good bet that he will get off with minor to non-existent penalties. Snoop got off on like 3 gun charges. He's rich and famous enough that I doubt if much will happen to him.

Although it can hardly be called a "source", he is a self-proclaimed heroin user in his lyrics. He raps about dope and needles and shit. He pretty much does every drug that exists I guess.

You'll never hear the more hardcore shit said on any of the popular stuff. Its all hidden away in mixtapes.

Try Kyper. Although his "rap" was more of the high energy dance music at the time,he came out with the first xtc song that I can find record of. The song "What Gets Your Body High" was being played in the clubs here( Baton Rouge,La.) in the late 80`s.

Personally, I think Lil Wayne has a shitty flow. I think he kinda sucks, despite being prolific. Even though once in a while he will score with a song, I think it's mostly due to good production rather than his rhymes. Also, I'm not sure how it all played out, but there was some talk about him having a ghost writer a while back.
