Its so easy to be ended, one mistake and your done. Dead to rot in the ground forever. If i took one too many pills or changed lanes into a 18 wheeler i would die. Its so easy, so danmed easy to die. Your luck to make it to 60 alive, thats how easy it is to die. I mean if you fall down the steps and break your neck boom you can never move again. Your cooking and spill oil on your face and there goes your chance for love, i mean who wants to date someone with a burnt face. If you swallow to fast or too much you choke.
Its so fucking depressing to think about it.

Not to diminish..... but you really have *no* idea how close, or how indiscriminate death is.
There is an apt term...... "The Golden BB"..... for seemingly random death. Sometimes, it just comes out of nowhere.
And death never needs a reason or plan. All it needs is the means; give it enough, and it'll get you every time.

But Pahalniuk said it best..... "On a long enough time-line, everyones' survival rate drops to zero."

The choices we make, either hurt or help the odds of catching a Golden BB.... and doing a shitload of pills on an interstate is very akin to rushing a machinegun head on.....
You might get away with it, but the odds are against survival.

Except sticking your head in the sand or digging in permanently makes for a really slow, stagnant lifestyle... or even get you killed faster. It can give time to regroup and play it safe.... but it's evident how well permanent defense works, as exhibited by the French ;)

The trick is to make it through the minefield of life alive..... and not everyone is gonna make it through in one piece.
But we can at least give it a good goddamn whirl.... minus the shitty choices that have a tendency to hurt our chances at survival. It's not that hard, really.
A little situational awareness, opposable thumbs, fire, and a lack of natural predators even up the odds some ^_^

My view is there IS an afterlife (if we were brought to life once, why can't it happen again). I've thought about what you just posted, many times in private. After all, there are myriad ways of dying without any prejudice -- you can easily die without being involved in anything shady/sketchy, therefore you really have no control over when it's your time to go. As such, I try to live in a way where I'd be able to stand behind my record of deeds on this earth, when I am judged before God. It seems as though you ascribe far too much meaning to THIS life, which is merely a means to an end.
