Hey bluelighters, recently got prescribed a new drug from pain management and I have never heard of it or know anything about it. It’s called Levorphanol 2mg tablets. If anyone has experience or anything to recommend with this medication feel free to explain further.

I've never even heard of this being prescribed, but very interesting.
It is the (L) enatiomer dextrorphan, which is an analog of dextromethorphan (DXM, the OTC cough syrup).
It's an interesting class of atypical opioid drugs because the (R) enatiomer does not fit into the opioid receptor, but the (L) enantiomer does. Someone more knowledgeable than me may correct me on this.

Curious what country you’re in. That’s a strange drug. It’s not remarkable vs any other opioid just uncommon.

Always wanted to try levorphanol. It is just like desomorphine but without the epoxide group. Strong analgetic which is still prescribed in poland i believe but Not over here in Germany.

Levorphanol (Levo-Dromoran) is very uncommon in the United States. It is more commonly prescribed in Europe. It is an interesting medication. It is a powerful Opioid. It is also an NMDA antagonist, an SNRI among other things. It's considered very effective for many different types of pain. It can probably help with neuropathic issues as well to some degree.
It's considered a highly sought-after substance in the world of illicit Opioid users. It mostly exists as legend among folks in the United States. I myself have never used it, though I've known about it for a long time. It's name would come up from time to time along with drugs like Dextromoramide (Palfium) as a drug which users just couldn't stop talking about, even years later. This always piqued my interest.

Took Levorphanol 2mg for the first time, empty stomach and all. Terrible experience, barely did anything for my pain and didn’t really have the kick that my Roxicodone 15mg have. I didn’t notice any euphoria, energy enhancements, and no real help for my pain like I experience with my usual pain medication. I would say that the Levorphanol 2mg is a good filler for in between Roxi doses but overall the 2mg dosage did nothing for me and I noticed it decreased in it’s effectiveness after 3 hours or so. Will continue to take it, but I see no real value with just a single 2mg dose. The pill itself is labeled “V 2003”.

If it is indeed a strong opiod; possibly it has twice the potency and half life of methadone.
But you may not feel much, it could also build up over time with half life over 24 hrs
So 2mgs equals about 5mg of methadone.

Its disappeared in the 'farmacotherapeutischkompas' after 98 somewhere, so i assumed it was discontinued.
Do watch out as it Pharmakinetics are irredic, but i assume it about as good as Heroine IV.
But as i wrote one dose can be to little one day and a OD the next.
But if i am correct your well informed and a hardhead, would you advise someone to take this.
I curious, as with no Opiod tolerance, id probably cry. But is it heavy shit, or just overrated in story s ?
edit: i worked in Pharm-a-ceutical logistic company, they got robbed and all the Palfium/ DextroMorAmide stolen.
Which was in the vault, only certain people could enter, not me. Was in the news please report if you find these !

I applied for a pharm logistic company in Leiden , they didn't take me for good reason , perhaps it's for the best that it disappeared if it is erratic in pharmakinetic sense.

Of the holy bible off medicin, which is all but complete as obvious in 98 dextro-Amphetamine was missing .

I have experience with regenbook apotheek their generic 5 mg methadone didn't hold a candle to symoron Though.
In the 50's they prescribed racemic amphetamine for everything from slimming to depression (mother's little helper stones song) I suspect that at a certain point this misfired on the doctors and they had to make amphetamine forgotten / not of therapeutic value on their books.
Cocaine used to be used in eye surgery in a hospital in the hague , never seen it in het het farmaco-therapeutisch compas at that time. So yes fishy... How do I know because someone stole vials from a hospital around 10 years ago.

In the winter of 1993 - I remember when cause I had been at a legendary Ramones concert that month-, I was able to get my hands on exactly 3 white pills of 5mg Palfium brand each. They were from the 60s, so they were well over 20 years after they expiration date. I had a minor iv heroin habit, a point or two, and I was in wds when I tried it. I ate one pill and did nothing or next to nothing; ate the second one and I could feel it working so I said fuck it, let's learn what this shit is about and injected the last pill. A massive, massive warm feeling wrapped me, much warmer and physically heavy that heroin, but no difference euphoria wise, or I don't recall it.
No legs at all, less than four hours later I was wding again, maybe sooner.
That's the only experience I had with Palfium

In fact, I also snorted a little bit of the first pill but it was too chalky after so many time and ate the rest of it. I say this cause technically I tried it by the main usual roas, and only when I injected did I felt what I had to felt.
I have always read about the high oral bioavailability of Palfium. Maybe I didn't give it time to work orally, also when I injected the last 5mg I already had eaten 10 more, whatever, but that was my experience, big difference iv

Read a old thread with a post of mine, Dextromoramide was abanduned 2015 in medicin/ the Kompas, but why.
Att probably not to new patients it wasn t prescribed, so probably the last on it died.
