This is true, and I'm lucky I've done things I wanted to do. And my biggest regret at this point in life is not having children. There's still time, but not a lot. I think I didn't write it down in my first post because I prefer not to think about it... all the more infuriating because I got quite close. But it wasn't entirely in my hands.

I regret getting addicted to codeine. I wish I'd never had those two innocent looking cocodamol tablets when I was writhing around with tooth ache all those years ago.
