Let's define a common purpose together

Hi, I'm new here. I've been alive for 47 years and have never used psychedelic sub's, until 2 months ago. In fact, the most I've ever indulged in was cannabis about 8-10 times. I had always been innately afraid of mind altering situations, which various sub's would facilitate.
Anyhow, I had begun a pretty intense study of consciousness, and learning things from the metaphysical angle as that has been the only angle from which I've gotten any form of understanding of the Bible, spirituality, consciousness etc. The conventional world-views of these things had never been satisfactory, or had even made sense to me. But upon discovering truth, bit by bit, lesson by lesson, I've become far more satisfied with what I'm learning now.
Then seemingly out of the blue I find my awareness and curiosity riveted to finding out about dmt and what it actually is. Keep in mind I've never had a psychedelic experience by which I've initiated by taking anything externally. That is to say that outside dream states and such, I'd been totally
Inexperienced. Nevertheless, I had to find out about this. So I researched as much info as I could find. I've sought out material advocating for the ideas that suggested the dmt experiences are of spiritual nature and that it has the ability to show us things that we cannot access with out very limited 5 senses. Likewise, I've read material which completely does away with all of that and proposes that the experience is entirely physical and has no basis or access to the spirit world or other dimensions. And I have no more of a conclusive answer than I had before I begun.
What I would like to do here is to compile very strict data, from every type of participant, which might narrow down the possibilities that might point to either side, then analyze the data and see if we can arrive at any sort of definite starting point from which to proceed with the studies.
We should keep it reasonably basic with our reports and findings. We shouldn't discuss too much of our differences of opinion, but we should accent the likenesses, because that is what we're trying to refine in order to accomplish a somewhat certain starting point.
I'd like if those who has extensive experience with dmt to begin the reporting. Then I would like to input with my experiences and observations, then let us all continue as a cohesive and friendly group moving toward understanding and helping each other with even more understanding, and continually achieving more understanding and cultivating peace in our world.
Thanks everyone. Looking forward to the interactions.......

we all have to find our own purpose. But we are one and the universal purpose should be to love and grow together and gain knowledge for future generations. Imagine an ant colony. They all work together. They don't distribute their wealth, food and power unevenly. There's on ruler and that's the most high. In their world it's the queen ant. Ants don't rob and kill one another either. I can't think of any animal groups that destroy each other. We should be like all the great colonies in the jungle but we have become too arrogant...there's lots to do...

Everyone sees the world differently and this is why we aren't meant to agree with ways of lives and behaviour but there is always the idea that should prevail is the unity.

Our common purpose as of now should only be to come together. Everyone is connected but no-one is connecting

we are an organization who currently has this official purpose. you could start here.

BLUELIGHT.ORG: Reducing Harm by Educating the Individual

Bluelight is an international, online harm-reduction community, committed to reducing the harm associated with drug use.

Bluelight neither condones nor condemns the use of drugs. Rather, we accept that drug use will always exist irrespective of legal status or societal norms. While there is no truly safe way to use drugs, we understand that prohibition and abstinence are not realistic or desirable solutions for everyone, nor have they been adequate in addressing the serious public health concerns associated with drug use.

While there is no universal definition of drug-related harm reduction, Bluelight believes that through frank and open discussion we are able to deliver accurate information, eliminate misinformation and empower individuals to make wiser, more responsible choices.

Bluelight understands that drug use encompasses a broad range of behaviors, some safer than others, and that drug use can progress towards increased risk with some individuals. We encourage our community to be honest and cognizant of their drug use and understand the warning signs of abuse and addiction before they manifest.

Bluelight also hosts a robust recovery community for those seeking a way out of drug abuse and addiction. These forums invite visitors to discuss addiction and sobriety in a non-judgmental setting, share recovery resources and encourage members to seek help. We believe there are various roads to recovery, including 12-step programs such as Narcotics/Alcoholics Anonymous and alternatives such as SMART Recovery.

Bluelight’s overarching philosophy is a simple: Meet people where they are and encourage open dialogue that empowers the individual to be the primary agent of her own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Thanks...I should've been more explicit. I meant that I'd like or folks to share their psychedelic trip experiences so we can try to reduce a bit down to a common denominator, if possible.

With dmt, specifically. I'd like for us to refrain from using our personal opinions and try to stay strictly to what we can recall from the experiences.

all I can say is every time I've had a dmt breakthrough it seemed like another dimension, and more importantly it gave me a strong feeling of being "home" that i could feel deep in my bones and every cell in my body. and like I said it's every single time I have a full dmt breakthrough. all I know is dmt is very special, very special indeed.

well a lot of people think that when you breakthrough on dmt that you visit the spirit world, or "heaven" or the afterlife whatever you want to call it. I'm not sure if buy into it 100% but that is certainly what it feels. when I have a dmt bt I always get a sense of like dying then I'm blasted into another world that just feels right. right down to my very cells I get a feeling of home and an indescribable feeling of peacefulness and conecctedness to everything. through my dmt use I also no longer fear death. instead of feeling terror when I think about dying I get a peaceful feeling and an almost homesickness but in a good way. dmt is amazing and is in a category all of its own. imo a dmt breakthrough should be on everyone's bucket list

Thanks for all of your responses. What I am interested in compiling are various inputs from people of all types who have experienced the SBT and BT on dmt. I'm also trying to detail the list according to the type if person who reports certain kinds of experiences based on their environment and worldview in general. So can you tell a bit about yourself, of course leaving out any info that you don't feel safe and comfy with saying.
Thanks

ok since u want some personal info I'll add to my above posts by saying I'm a 31 year old average male. I believe in an afterlife, what kind of afterlife exactly I'm not real sure. I'm not a spiritual person at all, and i never really got very spiritual on lsd or mushrooms or any synthetic psychedelic, but dmt did add a degree of spirituality to my life. for example when I have a breakthrough and feel that home feeling a warm blanket of peace washes over me that makes me unequivocally believe in an afterlife. as far as set and setting go. mindset can really effect me but setting doesn't as much as other psychedelics especially if I have a breakthrough because I completely leave my physical setting lol. I hope I have been able to give you a little info you haven't already read on the amazing dmt or "spirit moleccule"
also, many people who have had breakthroughs experienced the feeling of death I talked about but a large number agree that is more calm and peaceful feeling instead of utterly terrifying. don't get me wrong dmt can be utterly terrifying if your not prepared, also I found that if you fight to try to stay in reality it ends up being scarier than if you totally submit to the experience and relax and let it take you where it wants. obviously for the inexperienced and unprepared that can be easier said than done I would also like to note that I have a close friend that was an absolute atheist, he believed when you die you are nothing more than worm food. after his very first dmt experience he said that he now truly and deeply in his heart is 100% sure there is an afterlife but he's like me, not sure exactly what it is or how it even begins to work. I really do believe dmt opens the door to a spiritual world of some sort it almost feels as though the spirit world is right here with us just on a different frequency so to speak. I think dmt tunes u into to that frequency, like a magical radio station lol

find a flame that you wish to carry, help others find a flame to carry. carry a being that supports and deepens. embrace opposites. all this till we have better things to do that post to fourms conversations that should be had in parks and beautiful spaces and with friends and family and be so present in the momment together that universe adapts to a new perception of time imagined by us.

I really like the way you said that....we need to keep cultivating these ideals. I'm not talking about everyone doing psych's. But about everyone behaving as though they had.

Also, have you checked out any of what Russell Brand is doing these days?....Look at "The Trews" on YouTube.
Like him or not, and whether you think he's full if it or not, he's preaching all correct messages. Check it out and let me know what you's think.
Thanks

I agree with oxlong. It does feel like you belong there. I've also felt that something wanted to tell or show me something. One of my friends was told "now you go to sleep again"- And then he came back

That's intriguing. Man how I'd love to know if that came from his own personal subconscious, or a place on the threshold of conscious/subconscious, or something else, but maybe not exactly separate from him or his consciousness.

Where you ou suppose the feeling of "home" and familiarity might come from during the BT experience?

I think this feeling comes from the fact that, despite being grossly different relative to normal experience, DMT experience is not in fact something magical or metaphysical but simply another permetuation of possible consciousness. So the bizareness is bizarre, but it still flows through the same senses, the same mind, the same life as what existed prior to one ingesting DMT. Its altered but still primarily the same. I still have arms and feet when on DMT, I just seem to have more/less/plastic versions of them.

Also, our brain can generate the sensation of familiarity (deja vu) and psychedelics certainly seem to increase the experience of such states. :)

I find this thread a bit confusing. What do you mean by "us" defining a "common purpose" and to what ends? I like the unitarian idea indeed but am curious as to the motives or end-point you seek. I'm not at all sure that psychedelics will ever play a role in uniting the world or contributing to broad world peace or something equally unlikely. That's asking too much of these drugs.
