anyone have any ideas? i do have a benzo tolerance but im still taking kpins 1mg i switched over only using 8mg sub 4 this morning and i was alright but tonight my legs are acheing like a mofo and aggravating as hell. so i took another 4mg and another 1mg kpin but it didnt seem to affect the problem. should i take a little more sub or wait it out till tomorrow sheeeesh what we put ourselves through. i have ultram which is worthless i assume while on subs and i usually have gabapentin but im out at the moment. any ideas would help. thanks to all.

kpin 1mg x2 but usually ill take about 3 or 4 throughout the day. im having the runs aka shits and headache and restless legs . im not aching all over like i would be without the sub but im having these few probs as if sub wasnt in my system so i dont know what to do.

You mentioned that you were out of Gabapentin, so you could be experiencing withdrawals from that drug.

I know that when I quit Gabapentin (was taking 900mg/day), I had very intense withdrawals just like you describe (terrible leg pains, headaches, & irritability). The worse part lasted for about a week, but it was a long and slow recovery of headaches and body pains for months afterwords.

I too was still taking benzos (Klonopin & Xanax). I did feel that the klonopin helped a little with the pains, but not by much. The Xanax only really helped the irritability.

This is a super common symptom of drug withdrawal. It could be that your body hasn't adjusted to the Suboxone yet. Do you normally take any other drugs on a regular basis? Some drugs other than opioids can cause leg pain when you stop abruptly as well.

Here are some things you can do/take:
- magnesium supplement
- potassium or potassium-rich foods like bananas
- soak in a warm bath with Epsom Salts
- do some gentle stretching like yoga if you feel you can

Without knowing what dose of opioids you were taking prior to going on Suboxone, I would say don't take more Subs or benzos or at least wait as long as you can before taking more - it is normal to have a few days of pain while your body adjusts to the Suboxone. Try the things I suggested above if you can get them.

the irritability in my legs quit that night and the headache and stomach issues subsided throughout the night also......i think my body was just adjusting the swith back to subs........i dont take enough gabapentin even when i have it to cause withdrawals from that but if i had it that night i thought that it could help the leg issues....thanks guys all is well now.
