Legitimate 2c-e and 2c-i uses?

What are some of the legal uses for 2c-e and 2c-i? I don't mean crazy lab stuff but something that a normal person could say they're using it for. Anyone know any?

You could say you were using it to do some research for a college chem course or something... I don't really know as they're really not practically used for anything but psychedelic purposes or using them to synthesize something new, presumably to research into the chemistry of psychedelic chemical families.

I assume you must be simply studying 5-HT receptor agonists in rats.

Why else would you want any 2c-x drug?

Legitimate: tripping balls

Legal: ... not much established, but you could use it for lots of stuff. Monitoring effects on pet fish? Effects on spiders? Ants?

studying 5-HT receptor agonists in rats is a truly legit reason, even if they look it up.

2c-x effects 5-HT receptors, not that I can explain what that really means but....

You are interested in the affinity for the 5HT2A receptors of various tryptamines and phenethylamines.

I don't recommend saying you're using it for animal studies, unless you have specific permission to do such research you're likely to be liable for animal cruelty charges.

auto-medicating yourself against depression

(valid but probably not accepted by pigs. maybe by a judge with a brain)

What does it matter if it has a "legal" use? If you possess it then you'll get prosecuted regardless of whether you have it for a legal use or not.

Actually I don't believe there have been many cases at all of users with personal amounts being prosecuted in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I agree though that it probably will be completely transparent to anyone. But sometimes it helps to have a cover story in case of being caught with stuff. Even if it's transparent, it's going to look much betetr for you to appear prepared with an answer rather than "uhh... well... see, what had happened was..."

if you've got white powder in capsules you're probably at least going to jail for a night. But unless you've got a stupid amount of them, they aren't going to make a federal case out of it, which is exactly what they'd have to do to prosecute you in the states. The analog act is federal, and most states don't have analog legislation, so they can't prosecute, and likely won't call the U.S. attorneys office over a few dozen milligrams of white powder.

All that being said, my excuse is "degradative products of novel phenethylamines exposed to oxidative stress" If a non-drug-geek doesn't totally lose interest in whatever you're talking about after that sentence, i'll be damned.
